I was just curious but what kind of movie do you think the third transformers movie should be? In my opinion they should make it a serious sci-fi film, like district 9. I think TF3 should show the audience that war is a gritty and terrible thing because the first 2 movies seemed to glorify it and try to tell people that death was not serious and war was cool. I think it should be more of a war film, like saving private ryan or black hawk down. They should keep the mind-blowing action scenes but take away all the crude sex jokes and bad humor and give a serious, darker tone. but thats just my opinion. This thread is to discuss which genre you think the the third transformers movie should. NO FLAMING ABOUT MICHAEL BAY, please.

It'd be nice to have a TF film with a more serious tone to it, but it would need to be careful and not lose it's comedic edge. I, unlike some, enjoyed the humor in TF.

    Gimme a non-serious action movie.

I really don't think Transformers as a film franchise should be anything else.

I think that a major flaw of ROTF was how the very very serious parts did not mix well with the random humor popping up left and right. TF1 had a certain degree of seriousness but still knew how to be fun.

I hope it's a full blown Cybertronian World War on Cybertron.

I voted yes since Unicron might come and more decepticons like Blitzwing, Shockwave, and others. And plus its scales sake so the humor might drop.

It's quite obvious it will be a science fiction movie about fighting aliens, stuff exploding, and very hot women. Isn't that what Michael Bay wants?

I want to see a movie where Skylinx humps Trypticon for three hours.

Plus sometimes explosions and Megan Fox's ass are superimposed over the screen for a few moments.

"TRANSFORMURZ 3: SHIT BE GITTUN HUMP'D YO"

And then all the new users that generates here will call us idiots for not loving it.

A combination of the two. A mostly-serious action film with a decent amount of subtle humor. Take the current tone of the franchise, tone down the humor a lot, make the story a bit more serious, but keep the excitement and fun of the action sequences.

It should be like the first one, with exciting action scenes, good humor and magical just that magical moments the first one had. ROTF was just excessive in everything.

    Non-serious action movie.

IMO, transformers that takes itself serious is transformers done wrong.

It's a franchise whose first major villain was a giant alien robot who could be defeated in alt mode by turning his safety on. All the robots came with built-in cliches and accents. Seriousness went out the window from the very beginning.

I just wanna see it a little more serious and see the stakes rise, with many memorable deaths.

A serious science-fiction war movie with substance.

And just because it's serious does not mean it can't have genuinely humorous moments.
