A simple question, especially for those of you who have upgraded with Repo Labels, what kind of faction emblems do you prefer on your figures? Clear, gold, mirror, silver, or white background, or do you prefer to reveal the shield?
I think sometimes it depends on the specific figure. Usually when I either make my own labels or get Reprolabels, I prefer the silver back.
Usually white. It looks the sharpest and matches the tampo'd emblems so it's a little less obvious that it's a sticker.
Depends on the figure I use a clear background for Springer & Seaspray but I used a silver for Swindle & Blastoff. Clear one here for Rodimus Prime And silver background here with Magnus, I've used white background stickers on red figures mostly.
Usually a clear background, unless the area the emblem is on is the same basic color as the emblem itself. +-MWG-+
Well, I have never bought any (yet), but I prefer the clear background, though looking at the pics, I can see how it really depends on the figure.
Same here... the white background stickers look really good on red figures... The silver background ones look great in red too...
Yea, it depends. I'd probably use silver-backed more if the red on it didn't print darker than the others. ^ That looks great on Windcharger!
I prefer white backed, but so long as I can see the insignia I really don't care. I absolutely despise rub symbols. They're okay on old G1 toys, but on modern toys, no.
I voted for reveal the shield. Rubsigns bring back the nostalgia of the toys and take me back to being a kid again.
Anything BUT the rubsigns. I absolutely HATE those! But it really depends on the figure and your personal preference. I really like the way this silver border looks on WC... And I dig how this silver Con emblem w/out border looks on Warcry... Silver bordered on the ankle and silver w/out border on Explorer's chest... Purple Con symbol w/ purple border for Munitioner... And for Brut I cut off the silver border for this oversized Con symbol on his chest... It really is all about preference and the indivcidual bot's aesthetics IMHO.
