In the shattered Glass universe Weirdwolf and Frenzy are Conjux Endura.
In the Shattered Glass universe the Lost Light crew is as such:
-Rodimus is very much like Mirror Mirror Kirk
-Deadlock is Rodimus' backstabbing second in command who constantly belittles him and mocks him but hides it under 'prophecy'
-Ultra Magnus is a tiny, parasitic-like Transformer who invades other Cybertronians, eats their brain module, and then takes over their body.
-Tailgate was the greatest psychopath Cybertron ever saw and was sealed away because he was so bad even Optimus was scared of him. He forced his way onto the Lost Light with his simpering, weak-willed aid, Cyclonus (think Wormmon from Digimon)
-Swerve still loves humans. Infact he has several of them in his collection that he happily dissects in his lab.
-The Scavangers are all highly competent Decepticons who now travel about repairing the damage done by the Autobots. Grimlock is a result of brilliant and carrying Spinister operating on his brain to allow him to feel empathy and now Grimlock is like Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, filled with guilt and seeking redemption. The Scavangers know though that if they are in trouble, they can rely upon...
-Tarn! The most heroic and kind and awesome Decepticon there is. If he whispers in your ear you suddenly find your tanks full of energy! If he says your name you mutate into a Phase Sixer! All Decepticons love him. Not like...
-The Autobto Justice Division and their leader, the cold and calculating Thunderclash.
I like where this is going.
Transformers who have a similar body type have a relationship that has more in common with human co-workers than relatives.
Eh? This sounds interesting, but I don't follow.
Well the Seekers for example, or the jumpstarters.
Most of the time they are depicted as having a relationship akin to human relatives.
I see them more as having been created to have similar abilities, like how in our economy people with similar talents work together.
So I see them as having such a relationship to each other.
Building off this-
- Whirl is the most sane Autobot ever, with his only fear being kicked out of the Autobots for being too kind
- Rung gives his patients “treatments” which accelerate their mental issues
- Ten is named so because it’s the only word he’s never spoken
- Getaway is an extremely loyal Autobot, but also has a strange pull to join the Decepticon due to Megatron’s words
- Riptide’s brilliance puts any Cybertronian scientist or Galactic Council engineer to shame
- Deathsaurus left Megatron for being to careful with his troops, instead, he throws his soldiers head first into battle
- The Necrobot is called so because he is obsessed with finding out each and every possible way a Cybertronian can die
- The Galactic Council is an altruistic force who willing allowed the Black Box Confederacy to leave in order to help others. Their symbol for their peace with Cybertronians is Overlord, a Decepticon who hates his given name but only wants to help everyone in the galaxy
- Fortress Maximus often freezes up at the mere mention of a gun
- Red Alert has the worst spacial awareness of any Autobot. Once, an asteroid fell threw his habitation suite, but he was so engrossed in a simultronic game, he didn’t care
- The Functionists’ Purpose is to find organize the galaxy for the good of others, with their motto being “Everyone’s job is equal”
While the Cybertronians might worship Primus as a god, he is in actuality nothing more than an extremely powerful celestial creature that was imprisoned within Cybertron millions of years ago by the Quintessons. The Quintessons then used technology they had developed to periodically syphon off portions of his essence, taking that essence and infusing their robotic creations with it, giving them life and (unbeknownst to them initially) a free will. This primordial essence also made them incredibly powerful and allowed the Quintesson Empire to expand over vast distances. Vector Sigma was the key interface into this machine that syphoned off the life force.
Due to the massive destruction caused by the Cybertronian revolt and then the millions of years of civil strife that followed the Autobot/Decepticon schism, the exact truth of Primus was lost and he fell into legend and myth. With the Quintessons expelled from Cybertron, and the loss of the bulk of their technology and weaponry, the Quintessons too eventually forgot about Primus. The Cybertronian understanding of Vector Sigma and it's functions was limited, and all they understood was that Vector Sigma was the key to giving new life to Cybertronians.
Unicron was another celestial entity that had been captured by the Quintessons. However, instead of being used to power the Cybertronians he was instead the subject of dark experiments performed by Quintesson scientists before he managed to escape and merge himself with the technology holding him captive. As a result, he is driven by an overwhelming hunger and an all-consuming hatred of anything associated with the Quintessons.
The Red Alert one is really cool.
Continuing on with more IDW stuff!
-GI Joe is are the jack boot militant arm of the Terrian Empire, tasked with oppressing the public so that they remain in line. They are in a firm alliance with the Autobots but each plans to destroy the other the first chance they get. This has led Starscream (the new commander of the Decepitcons after Megatron was brainwashed by the Autobots into being their meek servant) to form an alliance with the heroic rebel group Cobra.
-The most feared group in the galaxy are the Space Knights. A cult that worships technology, they are obsessed with destroying all life that isn't living metal. Induction into their group sees innocent people torn to pieces, their flesh parts used to power their weapons while their brains are placed in metal armored bodies. They are led by Rom, the most wicked of the Space Knights, and his adopted daughter/heir, Stardrive, a Camien who was sold to them by her parents and raised to believe herself the ultimate lifeform (so basically they are the daleks/Cybermen and she is Overgirl). They are opposed by the Fortunate Spirits, a race of mystics who travel the galaxy healing those that are injured, willing to even sacrifice their own lives so they might empower the sick and weak.
-Brainstorm thinks his name is a compliment. It isn't. He is one of the dumbest Autobots that ever lived and people call him 'Brainstorm' because thinking makes his head hurt.
-Skids suffers a rare condition where, when he learns something new, something else must be removed forever from his memory banks. It is the great tragedy that he can't remember that he was once a kind, noble Cybertronian, as his only memories now are of death and torture he's inflicted on others. Of course this must be because of Rung, who happily emplanted those memories as an experiment.
-Nautica is a sultry, flirtatious femme fatale who gets by solely on her looks and ability to seduce males. She joined the Lost Light crew first serving as Skids' 'fembot' but she has rapidly moved up the ranks and has Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, and others wrapped around her little finger. Oddly enough the only being she might honestly like is Firestar, a nerdy introvert who likes to hide in her room and read books.
-Windblade was one of the Titan Scavengers, who makes her living finding titans and tearing them apart, selling their parts and secrets on the black market. This has made her so wealthy that she is now a powerful crimeboss on Cybertron (living in the shattered remains of Metroplex's head) and Starscream is forced to do business with her on a daily basis. She has recruited the brutish mobster Ironhide to work with her Consigliere Chromia to help form her new crime family. She is a member of the Way of the Flame Cult.
-The Torchbearers are not giant dicks who constant whine and complain.
All of the plot holes and story/history inconsistencies in the bayverse are due to the Unicron Singularity event. Its effects were felt very heavily there and thus has left the fabric of that reality in shambles and is barely holding itself together at this point.
(Not necessarily headcanon though... The Unicron Singularity WAS at one point used to explain things like this.)
My theory is that the films aren't what really happened. Instead the films were written by Thundercracker years later based on G1.
hahahah yes that works too
Scarlett is a spineless unatractive office slave who is constantly taken advantage of by the other GI Joe office personele.
Arcee was a nobody who accidentally got killed by the noble Jhiaxus during the early stages of war when she was ordered as her first assignement to capture the Union leader.
Starscream is the kind of leader who believes in delegating everything to the person best suited to the job.
He is always in his office busy with paperwork and prefers to rely on others to do the most high profile aspects of his job.
He is so rarely seen most have forgotten he exist.
In effect Decepticon leadership has been taken over by a great many peope:
The amiable and diplomatic Motormaster meets with the Union leaders.
Gutcruncher consults with wellfare organisations
Venom is in charge of everything to do with mental health.
The celebrated tacticians and warheroes Runamuck and Runabout are in command of Cybertrons army.
Hun-Gur is the goverment contact for everything concerning festivities and Cybertrons thriving catering industry.
The eloquent and media savvy Weirdwolf is the goverments go-to spokes person.
The sober and highly intelligent Triggerhappy is chief of police.
Since he took office not a bullet has been fired in taking down criminals and every police officer on Cybertron is now adept at talking down the most dangerous criminals.
Doubledealer is in charge of trade.
He is a gruff bot and hard to approach, but he can work magic during negotiations and has
secured many an advantageous deal for Cybertrons businesses.
Being responsible for Cybertrons education system has been a thrill for Bugly.
He has always disliked his time as a warrior and believes a better educated populace will prevent future strife.
After the largest Cybertronian arrival to Earth having occurred in the modern day, Vector Sigma was slowly influenced by Earthen features until the Quintus "Q" Minor (the chosen name of the Quintus Prime Master) inserted code regarding Dinobots into the supercomputer.
This resulted in a wave of Transformers with experimental designs coming into being. While Transformers have never had the need for a sense of taste, the new ones somehow have developed an approximation of human sensibilities, which is intended by Vector Sigma's programming to promote interspecies relations under the idea that it may improve its spawns' chances of survival. Transformers' fuel apparently is very delicious and satisfying to them as it is still the only thing that can truly sustain them, although humans cannot ingest it without their insides being swiftly yet painfully melted.
Several natural Headmasters were born during this time, as well as a generation of Dinobots. Most were weird mishmashes or died due to a lack of guidance or protection.
A small one, Slash, survived through pragmatism until the Autobots and Q-Minor who went back to Cybertron found her and brought her home to Earth, where it became evident that she was intended to live. She grew fond of Earth foods — particularly pizza — with her smaller size aiding in being better accommodated to tight spaces.
Slash is probably as antisocial as most of the original Dinobots, but she is better at hiding it — or rather, not always behaving like it. She quickly entered the adolescent phase of Spark development, something unusual brought on by Q-Minor tampering with the abilities Quintus Prime gave him. She will likely remain in that mindset for ten Earth years.
The Autobot scouts who found her, Rust Dust and Bumblebee are those she is most attached to — she considers and calls them friends, but it's more likely that it's a one sided parental bond. They are followed in importance by her surrogate brothers and then by whoever she's decided she has fallen in love with.
She is cheerful and lively — many times seemingly everywhere at once. But after Q-Minor and the Dinobots' influence, she clashes with authority figures and broods when alone — possessing a nihilistic worldview toward authority and the sanctity of life that really shows in combat. Emotional regulation is not her strong suit and she has a tendency to develop crushes such as the ones on Arcee, Moonracer, Hound and Rodimus. She will actively rebel at times and bring the scouts with her, often encouraged by Grimlock and co. whom find it funny as hell.
G1 Slash was created by Perceptor based on notes he found that Wheeljack had made concerning the creation of the Dinobots. However, Perceptor was able to correct a few issues and as such Slash is as smart as an average Autobot (though she still uses her name instead of 'I'.
In her introduction episode Grimlock and the other Dinobots would be convinced that she was a baby Dinobot and be overly protective of her, even though she could completely handle things on her own. Stuff like...
Optimus: Slash, look on Teletran 1 to determine where Galvatron's forces may be heading with the diamond laser.
Slash: Slash is on it!
(She hurries to the computer only for Grimlock to rush forward and block her)
Grimlock: Slash no can touch computer! Might spark and give her ouchie! Grimlock will do it!
Slash: Slash can manage it just find, Grimlock-
Grimlock: (giving her a ball) Slash should play with this, then we get her Energon snack!
The episode's final battle would see Slash rushing in to save the Dinobots, doing very well only for Devastator to form. She would get swatted and Grimlock, enraged, would combine with the Dinobots to form Volcanicus, defeating Devastator. Grimlock would admit that Slash can fight but Slash would admit it is nice having family that can protect her.
...okay, who wants me to just write the script for "Clever Girl", the lost Transformers G1 episode?
Tarantulas and the Tripredacus council are descended from the Quintessons.
Rumble and Frenzy are well aware that people get confused about their colour schemes; they regularly switch paint jobs about which one of them is which just to mess with people. Soundwave refuses to humour them, however, and as far as he's concerned, when he tells Rumble to eject, whichever one ejects is Rumble, and any assertions otherwise will be completely ignored.
Slash is Grimlock's daughter.
Reasons for this headcanon:
-raptor, a bipedal carnivore, much like the t rex
-red visor, just like Grimlock
-round shoulders, just like Grimlock
-dino mode claws hang off robot mode arms, similar to Grimlock
-legs are similar in design to FOC Grimlock's legs
Point is she has inherited quite a few traits from her father.
Micron is the name of Micronus Prime’s colony world, formed when he led his Metrotitan, Brave Maximus there. There, both Micromasters and Mini-cons are one in the same.
Each Mini-con has a Spark that contains a shard of a unique type of Energon, and the type of shard determines their powers.
Mini-cons with shards of Pure Energon can combine with each other, either to form larger vehicles or a larger robot.
Mini-cons with a shard of Red-Energon possess massive amounts of power that allow them to Powerlinx to machines and even other Cybertronian’s to boost their power.
Mini-cons with a shard of Rarified Energon are able to combine with other similar Mini-cons to form weapons of exponential power. They are the most powerful of the Mini-cons, and usually have the combined modes of Sabers, though Blasters are shields also exist. Each of these comes in numbers of three, with each trio being able to use a different power in the combined saber form. There can only be one of each type of trio per generation, and the most powerful of them forms the Star Saber, named after the long lost holy sword itself. The Star Saber trio usually act like proxy leaders for the Council of Sages, carrying out their will.
At the time of Optimus Prime’s arrival post-Unicron war in an effort to re-discover all of the lost colonies, there where seven Sabers total on Micron. The Star Saber, Pyro Saber, Cryo Saber, Energon Saber, Vorpal Saber, Chaos Saber, and the Dark Star Saber.
Also during the time of Optimus’s arrival, the Mini-con Civil war between the the Council of Sages and Micromasters(in name only) was taking place. Optimus used his Headmaster form to become a diplomat of both sides, and wound up discovering that another Cybetronian from the planet Zone had secretly instigated the civil war from the start. A combined Autobot/Mini-con allience was able to re-awaken the ancient Metrotitan of that planet, Brave Maximus, who the all Mini-cons worshiped and end the war. Though many of those who called themselves Micromasters wound up leaving the planet and joining one of the many splinter cells of Decepticons.
