Before he was reformatted into a techno-organic wolf, Beast Machines Quickstrike was a red attack helicopter.

How about we both agree that it's Transformium but your headcanon involves a different name. Sound good?

Transformium, Cybersteel, Protomatter, Cybermatter, Sentio Metallico, etc.

    (shrug)

A mechanical rose by any name would smell just as... sweet?

The only point I was trying to get across was that Cybersteel doesn't have any of the goofy properties of transformium. :)  That's all.

After all this is MY headcanon, you don't see me going around on this thread labeling stuff in other's canons. :)

-Wheeljack's faceplace is a later addition after an explosion left his lower face disfigured. Accounting for why it dosnt move when he talks unlike other face-plated Transformers. Its not a natural part of his face, Like Skyfire's helmet.

More stuff, inspired by the lacklustre BotCon comic that dealt with the transition from G1 to the Beast era...

Optimus Prime, as noble and as great as he was, would not live to see the end of the Great War.
Megatron's forces had laid seige to Earth, attempting to defeat the Autobot high command, conquer the planet, and end the lineage of Primes once and for all.
The siege was broken when the remaining Autobot forces found there way to Earth. These forces, under the triple command of Ultra Magnus, Circle of Light High Master Star Sabre, and Wrecker Commander Springer, broke through the Decepticon lines and reunited with Optimus' high command. The majority of Autobots met their new Prime for the first time.

So the stage was set. Megatron brought the weight of the Decpticon army down on Earth, opposed by a unified Autobot army and the forces of the Earth Confederation.
    And then...Nova Prime returned.

Nova Prime, long thought dead exploring the Benzuli Expanse, had merely been trapped in the Void. He and his crew had gone mad in their long isolation, some say corrupted by Unicron himself. In any event Nova had set his crew to work plundering the research rich yet lifeless void. He planned on constructing a massive battle fleet. With which he would return to Cybertron and lead an aggressive expansion across the stars.

His massive fleet had since escaped the void, and were drawn to Earth by the two massive Cybertronian armies. Nova cared little for either side by this point. The Decepticons were malcontents, commoners who had forgotten their place in his orderly society. The Autobots? His Autobots? Had let such wretches drive them from the Commonwealth. And this Optimus Prime? A weak and compassionate fool who had allied with a less advanced race rather then conquer them.

Nova confronted both armies with his massive fleet, declaring he was the true Prime. All who did not accept him would be anhiliated.
Optimus tried to broker a truce with Megatron, but the revolutionary could not accept allying with any Prime. The massive battle was chaos, and Optimus, Megatron, and Nova met on the surface of Earth's moon.
The three leaders beat each other nearly to death. It was near the end, as Nova was about to finish off Optimus, that Megatron finally realized that Nova Prime was the one who represented the social stratification and Functionalism that he had originally rose up against. He sacrificed himself to save Optimus, who used the oppertunity to lay the killing blow to Nova.

Megatron and Nova Prime's deaths allowed the Autobots and Earth to rally. Nova's crew retreated under the leadership of Jhiaxus to parts unknown.
The Decepticon lines above Earth broke, and would have been routed had Galvatron, one of Megatron's generals, not rallied their forces and planned a strategic retreat to the moons of Jupiter.

Optimus Prime, meanwhile, was fatally wounded. He was celebrated as a hero by both Autobot and Earth forces before passing. Star Sabre called for a new Prime to be chosen, but Ultra Magnus and Springer both overruled him. The Decepticons were in a state of retreat. The Autobots had to press the advantage, and couldn't sit idle as they waited for someone among their ranks to show signs of Matrix affinity.
It was agreed that the three would continue to command the Autobots jointly, and that Magnus would carry the Matrix temporarily until the time was right to choose a new Prime.

The Autobots successfully drove the Decepticons from the Sol System, forcing them to retreat back to the Cybertronian Commonwealth's borders.
It was on the Commonwealth colony of Junk that the Autobot forces chose to invade at. Canimus was perhaps the most loyal to the Autobot cause, but the anti-establishment Decepticons had committed significant resources to the holy colony in an effort to crush its resistance.
Junk though? The wild and semi-lawless planet devolved into a guerilla war against the Decepticon occupiers as soon as they had landed.

Galvatron ignored his generals' advice and led the defence of Junk himself, determined to make a public stand after his defeat above Jupiter. His personal bodyguards, the Sweeps, proved deadly in battle, even incapacitating Ultra Magnus.
The Matrix was exposed, and Galvatron lept for it. Hot Rod, an eager young member of Magnus' Elite Guard, jumped to block the Decepticon leader. Hot Rod claimed the Matrix, but Galvatron easily knocked the young soldier down.
Galvatron mocked Hot Rod who, almost by instinct, opened the Matrix and bonded with it. The display captured the attention of the entire battlefield, and Hot Rod used the surge of power to defeat the Decepticon leader, forcing a retreat.

Star Sabre, leader of the Autobots' religious order, immediately dropped to a knee and proclaimed Hot Rod Rodimus Prime.
Rodimus met with the triumvirate. It was clear that the young bot had Matrix affinity, and his public bonding had effectively made him Optimus' successor as the Prime. Yet the war was nearly over. The Autobots had regained a foothold in Cybertronian territory. Razorclaw, leader of the Predacon subgroup, was openly challenging Galvatron for Decepticon leadership. And most colony worlds still under Decepticon control were in open rebellion after their defeat on Junk. Now was not the time to hand total control of the Autobot armies over to an inexperienced, if promising, commander.
Rodimus agreed, becoming the public face of the new Autobot offensive, while allowing Star Sabre, Magnus, and Springer to coordinate the war effort.

Planet by planet was taken. Caminus proved to be a huge boost for Autobot moral, as the religious planet greeted Rodimus' arrival almost as if he were the second coming of Prima himself. The Matrix Flame, destroyed by Decepticon occupiers, was re-dedicated.

The Battle of Iacon proved to be the decisive battle of the war. Rodimus came face to face with Galvatron himself. The battle was brutal, as Galvatron ordered his army to fight to the last man. Eventually Galvatron himself died at the hands of the new Prime, though victory was not assured until Razorclaw, the Predacons, and a group of Decepticon followers retreated into the Cybertronian wilderness. Soundwave took command of the Decepticons and broadcast the order to surrender.

The Tyrest Accords, so named because they were drafted by Autobot Chief Justice Tyrest, officially ended the war.
The Decepticon faction was dissolved. Amnesty was granted to most rank and file Decepticons, as well as most low-level officers. Certain high ranking officers such as Soundwave and his "minions," were also granted amnesty.

Those under Razorclaw's command refused to comply with the treaty. If the Decepticons had willingly surrendered and dissolved themselves? Then they would all become Predacons.
Razorclaw lead an insurgent campaign, lacking the numbers to challenge the Autobots. He attempted to recruit ex-Decepticons, but those that could have joined him were those who were granted amnesty. And few were willing to throw that away in the name of what they saw as a lost cause.

Predacon leadership was held by Razorclaw. The other original Predacons made up his command staff. The low-level insurgency they waged lasted for a century. Eventually an older, wiser Rodimus Prime led a campaign to end this insurgency once and for all.
Razorclaw rallied his troops, but the fight was hopeless. A fact keenly observed by Ram Horn, Sea Clamp, and Cicadacon.

These three were younger generals of Razorclaw. They, like a good number of Pradacons, were born from hot spots captured by the Predacons following the end of the War. These three generals had no memory of the older Autobot-Decepticon War and saw continued resistance in the face of overwhelming Autobot and Maximal forces foolish. That would lead to defeat. If they negotiated peace, however...

First, however, an aside. The Maximals. They had begun as a sub-faction of Autobots lead by Fortress Maximus. He had formed them as a means to properly combat the insurgent activities of the Predacons. This involved a separate command structure and separate bases out among the Cybertronian wilderness. They had grown into a faction in their own right, with Fort Max declared Maximal Supreme Commander. The Maximal organization was represented among the High Command by their Supreme Commander, who was given an equal say alongside Ultra Magnus, Springer, and Star Sabre, all under Rodimus Prime.

Back to the Predacons. Ram Horn, Sea Clamp, and Cicadacon orchestrated a coup just as Rodimus Prime's combined Autobot/Maximal army closed in. The original Predacons were eliminated via a bomb secretly planted by Ravage, who was secretly conspiring with the three upstart generals. They seized control of the Predacon faction in the chaos and formally requested peace talks with Rodimus Prime.

Pax Cybertrona was signed, finally bringing peace to Cybertron. The terms were less harsh than the Tyrest Accords. The Predacon faction would be allowed to continue, and even govern parts of Cybertron where they remained in control. They would also be allowed to induct newborns forged from hotspots in those areas into the Predacon faction.
Yet this still put them at a disadvantage in terms of repopulation potential. Their independence also came with conditions. The Tripredacus Council, as they were calling themselves, had nominal sovereignty over the Predacons. Yet they were still subject to Autobot/Maximal government and military forces. They were allowed a Predacon police force, but no army.
Many Predacons scoffed at this agreement, but begrudgingly accepted, as it at least allowed them the chance to survive as a movement. And maybe return to power one day...

The Maximals continued to grow, as more and more younger Cybertronians who wished to serve chose the Maximals, seeing it as the organization that would allow newcomers a quicker path towards advancement.
The Autobots, while respected, came to be known as a faction of Great War vets.

War once again came to the Cybertronian Commonwealth. This time in the form of the Quintessons looking to reclaim what they saw as theirs.
Ultra Magnus and Springer had retired from duty, their places on the Triumvirate military council filled by Autobots Strika and Obsidian.

Strika and Obsidian proved very affective in their roles, winning many campaigns across the Commonwealth en route to a Cybertronian victory. Rodimus Prime suffered a rust infection as a result of wounds sustained in battle, and passed the Matrix onto Hyperdrive, one of the younger Autobot commanders, prior to his passing. Hyperdrive proved to be popular, a commander who was not afraid to lead from the front. The newly dubbed Hyper Prime ushered in another era of peace, as Pax Cybertrona resumed.

This new era of peace was marked by extreme optimism among Autobots and Maximals. Hyper Prime died of cybercrosis, as did his successor Pyro Prime. Two Primes' oversaw periods of peace and stability, a sign to many that the days of strife and war were over for good.

Pyro Prime's passing led to the selection of a new Prime. Many were brought to test for Matrix affinity by the Autobot/Maximal high council. Finally a former Autobot-turned-Maximal named Victory Leo showed the most promise. He was entrusted with the Matrix, becoming Leo Prime. The first time someone other than an Autobot barred the title Prime since Nexus Prime prior to the onset of the ancient Dark Ages.
Star Sabre, Leo Prime's old comrade and still High Master of the Circle of Light, took the title Autobot Supreme Commander. He oversaw the Autobot forces under the command of Leo Prime.

The reigns of Hyper Prime, Pyro Prime, and Leo Prime saw the development of a complex and fluid Cybertronian society under the Autobot and Maximal joint government. The honorific "Primal" was bestowed to those whose sparks were descended from past Primes. A descendent of Optimus Prime, barring the name Optimus himself, would go on to command the Axalon, a research vessel.

Predacons continued to survive under this regime. The Tripredacus Council retained control through the Predacon Secret Police. Ravage, granted amnesty from the Great War, was free to become a Predacon. He became one of the Council's most loyal operatives.

A younger Predacon names Megatron, named after the legendary Decepticon leader, grew tired of what he perceived as inaction on the part of the Tripredacus Council. Their claims to slowly be working towards a Predacon uprising seemed hollow to him.
He and a group of like-minded Predacons orchestrated the theft of the Golden Disk, an artifact recovered by Optimus Prime ages ago during the conflict on Earth. Megatron's crew made a break for it in an experimental transwarp ship, leaving Commonwealth space. Optimus Primal's Axalon was the closest ship to intercept range, and was ordered directly by General Obsidian to stop the renagage Predacons no matter the cost.
Megatron's ship opened a warp gate, pulling the pursuing Maximal ship in after them. And the rest is history...

Rumble and Frenzy purposefully switch colors all the time to hide the real Rumble, because of his crazy OP earthquake powers. You've got to protect your heavy hitters after all, especially if one of them is a small Mini-Con .Only soundwave knows the truth

I think they switch colors just to annoy people, and sometimes even pretend that they don't know who the real Rumble is as a joke.

I like to apply those powers to Soundwave himself in most cases. Frenzy himself doesn't really do anything for me as i have no real attachment to the character other than his connection to Rumble and Soundwave. so he just kind of "is there" in my book.

The black Targetmaster recolor of Jazz is Artfire. The white-cab Targetmaster recolor of Inferno is Stepper.

Stepper (the Targetmaster firetruck) was eventually promoted and became Optimus Fire (that is, Fire Convoy, a.k.a. RiD2001 Optimus Prime). Artfire (the black-Jazz Targetmaster) was upgraded into a Spychanger (RiD2001 Hot Shot was named Artfire in Japan, after all).

Optimus StarFire (Galaxy Convoy, a.k.a. Cybertron Optimus Prime) is a new body for Optimus Fire (Fire Convoy, a.k.a. RiD2001 Optimus Prime). Master Megatron (Cybertron Megatron) is actually Master Gigatron -- a new body for Gigatron (RiD2001 Megatron).

You've got them mixed up. Stpper (aka Ricochet) is the black Jazz recolor and Artfire is the firetruck.
