whats your favorite movie about transformers?
The 86 Movie should not count here.
DOTM for me.
Lot of threads on this already. But anyway, my favorite was DOTM. For me, it had the biggest acton, the robots had a lot more screen time, and a great plot. I thought ROTF was good despite what most people say about it but it definitely was not my favorite. TF1 is a close second behind DOTM. It was the awe and magic of seeing them on screen for the first time. But DOTM really took the cake for me. The first to focused a lot on Sam. DOTM did to but really, after he gets his job and wang tells him about the moon and all the stuff about the moon landings unravel, thats when sh*t starts happening and it focuses on the bots. DOTM was just amazing IMO and the best of the trilogy.
DOTM was my favorite: Best action Best story
had the most Robot screen time and the most emotional
and it cut back on the humor, Just an Awesome Movie
TF1 comes in Close Second It brought me to the Transformers
Franchise I was in awe when I First saw the Autobots arrive,
And when Blackout first transformed.
ROTF comes in third I actually Like ROTF A lot the only thing
I don't like in it is Some of the Humor besides that I Like it
But DOTM Is definitely the Best of the 3 in My Opinion
Where is the multi voting option? I need that multi voting option.
I voted for the first live-action film. I think, though, that with subsequent viewings DOTM might one day take the crown.
I bet whoever voted ROTF is lying.
The one with Optimus Prime in it.
ugh...... dark of the moon. soundwave ftw!
1986 all the way. I love that movie and watch it whenever I have a couple hours to kill.
I mean come on... RODIMUS PRIME.
First live action movie for me.
Dark of the Moon was a close second though.
Never have liked the 86 animated movie.
Would it be wrong to say that ANY of the 2000's trilogy is better than 86 is BLASPHEMY!!!
I say it is.
1986 all the way
Since the Original movie will always have a place in my heart, out of the Bay movies I choose DOTM.
This question always feels like attempting to pick the lesser of four evils. There just isn't a Transformers movie that I can point to and say that's why I like Transformers.
Out of the four I'll take the '86 movie. Yes it has some cringe worth moments but the movie is about the robots instead of humans, it has moments like the dinobots vs Devastator battle, and the Decepticons got to be kind of tough instead of being the Autobot's punching bag.
I have to go with the 2007 Transformers. It introduced me to the franchise and had great plot that also brought in the Transformers in a realistic way. This movie had everything I look for in a movie and it's my favorite movie of all time. Despite the critics, I liked ROTF even though it had some problems and I liked it second best. DOTM comes in third and almost second. I didn't like it much the first time I watched it, but I liked it a lot more the second time and I think it might pass ROTF as soon as I watch it again.
Because that defined Transformers for so long before Michael Bay showed up. That and the Bayformers Trilogy just became a dissapointing letdown of wasted cinema potiential.
Happy to see that the 86 and 2007 movies have most of the votes, at 33 combined vs 19 for that sorry DotM.
Saddens me that individually DotM has more votes, and more than the first live movie, which IMO is so superior it shouldn't even be a contest.
Perhaps age just makes people like me harder to impress. I've seen so many summer seasons come and go with some really epic films that might stand the test of time that it take something rather incredible to make me feel that movie magic.
There were some pretty good and entertaining films at the theater this summer but nothing that really stands out like an Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Jaws, Star Wars (before Lucas started messing with the originals), Dark Knight or Spiderman 2.
Ha ha, perhaps it's the curse of old age that you end with too many things to compare something to.
Holy crap, you read my mind *puts on foil hat*.
