G1 Gears. Simply an amazing figure.

 

G1 Optimus. Decent bot and alternate mode and is still a fun toy after all these years. I still get a kick about his trailer transforming into a base!

Hummm at the moment probably classics jetfire, him and classic prime are the closest thing to perfect transformers that have been made so far, IMO any way, to me they just piss all over the alt/BT and MP lines.

 

Ok so favorite Transformers toy would definitely have to be G1 Jetfire. That is one toy that will always be displayed in whatever home I am living in. I dont even care if I'm 90 in a retirement home.

I've gotta say, RID Supreme God Omega Fire Optimus Prime of Doom is the coolest in terms of visuals. That guy looks so wild.

In terms of play, I really like the Cybertron basics and the Classics deluxes. If I had to choose one...Really? Energon Strongarm. I know that's random, but I just love fiddling with him. He's neat.

In terms of size and overall amazingness...Armada Unicron. Wow, that's a cool toy.

 

Hmm, well I'd say mine is a toss up between MP Prime and Armada Unicron. Now as far as current favorites, well I'm enjoying Starscream, Jetfire and Bumblebee from the classics line and I cant wait for Ramjet and Skywarp to come out.

Absolute favorite of all time? Hmm. That's a tough one.

Though I don't own him today because he disappeared on me at some point, G1 Jetfire. The reason he disappeared was that he literally went everywhere with me. I never wanted to be without him. And keep in mind that I was eleven when Transformers started, twelve by the time I owned Jetfire. He was just too cool to put down.

As far as modern toys. . .

Strangely, though I truly despise 20th Optimus Prime with my entire being, Masterpiece Convoy ranks right up there. I guess the combination of the ill-fitting chest-plate, the horrible paint smudges, and the tendencies to fall over with a slight breeze just made me hate 20th Optimus to the point where I couldn't possibly understand why anyone would say it was the greatest Transformer ever made. Then I got ahold of a MP Convoy and realized it really is a pretty darned good Transformer. Not the greatest, but pretty good. Funny how what should be exactly the same toy is just so very, VERY much better with some better paint apps and tighter joints. And the stacks make a world of difference in the look. (Easily replaced though.)

Stepping outside Transformers for a bit: My 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru. At some point I'll buy the black/stealth version and THAT will be my favorite, but I love that toy. It's the perfect update to my old friend, and I really like the J head and the plain-look of the paint-apps on the Hikaru. Complex, yet sturdy, and oh so beautiful.
