Hi! I sometimes think G2 can be over looked a bit. Some figures were pretty bad, but at the same time there are a few great figures in this line! What are your favorites?

Ramjet. I feel that color scheme looks good (not sure if I'm supposed to).

Smokescreen and Dreadwing for me. I love the colors and how they can combine in vehicle mode.

The Skyscorchers (I would die for a CHUG update of these guys) and Cyberjets were all awesome designs, I loved Ramjet despite his articulation restrictions, the G2 Combaticons were weirdly awesome and G2 tank Megatron was a brute. All of the laser sword figures were great too (shame electro is just dust now) and after finding out about TFU.info as a kid I yearned for Clench and Pyro. I still regret selling my Botcon Clench figure. Molds like Hero Megatron, Hero Prime, and Laser Optimus Prime were all ahead of their time. Smokescreen and Dreadwing still stand in my collection, and fit in so well with a modern collection that I forgot to put them in this post initially. G2 was the line that brought Transformers into the next generation with the introduction of decent articulation and despite some weird coloring choices, the line was amazing as a whole. After over twenty years, G2 molds still hold up to modern figures and that's something that can't be said of some figures released in the last five years.

G2 tank Megatron might not only be my favorite G2 figure, it might be the only G2 figure I legitimately like in general. G2 in general just doesn't appeal to me.

On the other hand, this G2 Megatron is right up there with Armada Megatron as my favorite Megatron figure ever.

    I love G2.

These are my favorite original molds...

    Megatron
    Dreadwing/Smokescreen
    Hooligan (Cyberjet)
    Leadfoot (Rotor Force)
    Manta Ray (Rotor Force)
    Powerdive (Rotor Force)

    These recolors are all excellent:

    Constructicons
    Combaticons
    Aerialbots
    Minibots
    Jazz
    Sideswipe
    Starscream
    Ramjet

But my absolute favorite has to be the silver version of the Dinobots. Specifically Slag and Snarl, which I think are superior to their G1 counterparts. Several parts of the toy were remolded for G2, to make them less prone to breakage. But it still has the great color scheme.

I really hope some day a KO company will do a scaled-down version of G2 Megatron, which stands the same height as Optimus Prime in robot mode.

I know there is Hero Megatron, which is about that size, but the mold and colors are not near as cool as the first G2 Megatron in my opinion.

The Cyberjets were just so well done they can never be ignored. Laser Rods was a cool idea and I loved my Volt figure. I played with that thing til it broke as a child. G2 Megatron is the best though.

starscream and bb. yea, it is a beast wars repaint, but it sure makes that figure look amazing.

g2 had a lot of great molds, most of them repainted much better in the later years. like scourge. still the best scourge of them all. both of the black trucks, and the flying bathtubs.

Axxelarators, skyschorchers, the rotorforce is amazing, Dreadwing and Smokescreen, laser rods, the laser cycles and offcourse the cyberjets.
And yes, they should all get updates someday.

With all the lines we have seen since G2, I dont thing I miss any of those molds; however, with that said, I do thing I liked G2 Bumblebee because of his cuteness factor. Maybe Hubcap too.

Of the G2 toys I collected as a kid, yellow Devastator is my crown jewel. I also am a big fan of Rapido, Terradive, Deluge, and Sizzle (the Laser Rod).

I liked Rapido and Terradive and those in their sub-group. I liked Dreadwing and Smokescreen.

It was great to get a second chance to collect the Constructicons and Combaticons.

I have the big tank Megatron, but I don't think he's that cool. He's alright. When I was a kid I didn't like the size disparity between him and Optimus Prime

The Axelarators and the Skyscrochers. Nice intricate transformations at a smaller scale.

Next would be Laser Optimus Prime. So good that I own the original, RiD Scourge, the Ultra Magnus recolor and Goat Prime. I'd even buy Toxitron if they ever gave us that proper.

My next faves are the Hero Optimus Prime and Megatron. Despite the goofy bellows, the articulation on them are awesome.

Love it so much I bought Heero Toys WST version.

Original mold wise though probably Dreadwing, but the cyberjets are really close seconds.
