Let's hope it is something more serious this time

Actually it was talking about what projects they were walking on. Transformers could be the movie and conception could've started way before they created their film branch. Not saying they won't make whatever follows RID, just pointing out it wasn't confirmed what kind of project they were specifically working on.
Why do all TF shows have to be serious? Besides so some people can bash them.

They don't. TFA wasn't "serious" but people loved that, and the G1 series had Megatron using a giant purple robotic griffin with one point of articulation to conquer the world. That being said, humor is really hard to do, and I feel like a lot of people find the RiD15 humor to be a little flat. I know that I don't think Denny or his kid are amusing at all, and laughing at Fixit just seems like making fun of a kid with a speech impediment - you do it anyway, but you don't feel good about it.

RiD15 is deliberately goofy, not unintentionally stupid like G1. It's verbal humor is uninspired and not particularly clever unlike BW/TFA. I think after a spate of one-note humor, people want a little more depth and character development without having to wade through bad jokes.

The biggest problem with RID is that the target demographic isn't what they wanted. It was supposed to be the middle line between Rescue Bots and Generations, but show's demographics show its actual audience are the same kids who watch Rescue Bots. Very, very young children.

The 5 to 8 year old boys they intended for RID are moving on the Generations since it has better toys. Kids always want what the older kids have. They don't want "baby toys". RID's toys are barely above the level of a Rescue Bots, so the 5 to 8 year old boys don't want them and don't want to be seen with them. That how Generations began to outsell the "mainline". That's also why the TR cartoon is getting a bump from eight 5-minute shorts to thirteen 11-minute shorts.

That's also why there's no sequel to RID. Little kids will have Rescue Bots Academy instead.

I wouldn't be shocked if the gimmicks we've seen in RID don't start popping up in Rescue Bots Academy toys, while the "mainline" will be whatever Generations story replaces Power of the Primes.

My vote goes for a g1 reboot. I find it stupefying there wasn't an option for that in the poll.
