Is it one you've bought or are looking at buying? Or just seen the photo and wondered? Just asking because he's prone to GPS so if it was a purchase or potential purchase to look out for it. I got one way back in the G2 days that's happily survived that ravages of time and poor plastic production choices, and then picked up another in great condition for a couple of pounds on a car boot sale last year. He's a bit blocky, but he's still satisfying, especially if you have the many missiles for him as well.
Yeah, I think it was late G1. Alot of people think it's G2 because of the neon colors. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Well, in their defense... you wouldn't know it if not for the fact that he has a classic Autobot symbol.
i just want to say kudos to everyone in this thread for not being elitist and saying stuff like "how dare you not know" "omg noob" and stuff like that. This is what it's all about. If i wanted to simply learn info about TFs in a non-social manner, i'd visit tfwiki instead of being part of a forum/community. Great job guys. And yeah, Thunderclash rules
He's one of those whacky European exclusives, so it's understandable that someone wouldn't know who it is.
I always thought that figure was Hero Prime, the young looking prime with no face mask from the late G1 to the G2 era. Now I know I am wrong and I am no where near a noob lol. Any bot pics of the guy?
No, you've got it right. And the fact that he wasn't sold in a G2 box The figure that people call "Hero Prime" is the G2 figure with the missile pump, who was sold as "Combat Hero Optimus Prime." Optimus Prime (1994) - Autobot Leader - www.tfu.info I feel like Machine Wars Prime is an interesting piece of the Prime puzzle, being the first Prime to be sold without a faceplate, and just having a generally different futuristic aesthetic than most figures. But, of course, that aesthetic comes from the fact that he's just a recolor of someone who wasn't Prime. I agree with you, I prefer Thunder Clash as a unique character with his bizarre color scheme. But I guess for people who aren't a fan of that era of colors, the MW Prime is easier to take seriously.
