Most recent truly great figure would be FE Bulkhead. If they ever do actually make their way stateside, I'll definitely grab a second one.

In spite of all of its flaws I love the RtS Jazz mold. It's probably the most recent one that I've totally loved.

    Others I love offhand:

    Generations Drift/ Blurr

    Universe 2.0 Hound

    Universe 2.0 Cyclonus

Universe 2.0 Inferno/ RtS Grapple/ Botcon Pyro/ Generations Hot Spot is one of my favorite Voyager molds. Simple but completely solid.

HA Jazz is pretty great for a movie toy.

Most recently from Hasbro would have to be FE Voyager Prime for me.

    Leader starscream.

Transformers don't get much better than that.

First Edition nearly anything. But I was practically grinning from ear to ear when I bought Arcee and Starscream and proceeded to tear 'em out of the packaging. Arcee is my favorite between these two, but Starscream has to win out here. There's so much going on, yet it's so intuitive going back and forth between mode that it's really fun. It captures the look of the character well, it's a mostly fresh take on how to get a robot out of a jet, and the poses that the toy can do are so characterful! Bulkhead and Optimus are also really good. And while this does at first seem like beating the fine powder indent in the ground that a dead horse used to be, this is mainly because I got all of my First Edition figures after getting all of wave 1 of Prime, except for the Voyager Optimus (which I don't plan to get unless Hasbro repaints it as like Nemesis Prime or 'Motorbreath') and anything Cyberverse. So regardless of my feelings for those, my First Edition figures are the most recent.:p

Well I don't know if it's recent or not, but I honestly think the Reveal Shield Special Ops Jazz was a fantastic figure.

G1 Kickback because all recent toys have been too small and overpriced.

Oh I kid. Lot of good toys recently, but the best one from the past year or so is probably Generations Dirge.

Oh, yeah. Commander Dreadwing. The Voyager probably won't be as good as this incredible mold. Great, accurate weapons, a fantastic robot mode with screen-accurate kibble, a solid jet mode with an intuitive transformation (jeez, those shoulderpads) and even the weapon storage is accurate in robot mode!

I really have issue putting down Fe arcee. Even mass production is a really great model. Voyager 06 prime is another 1. Just so much win. G2 generations prime was another fun to play with figure.

Terradive had a high level of articulation and its repaint was excellent too

To me, if in robot mode if the figure is comparable to a standard action figure they've succeeded.

Gonna jump on the RiD Vehicon bandwagon, but before him, FE Starscream really impressed me (even though I like the voyager a bit more now).

Even with recently getting my SDCC 2012 Bruticus set, and CliffJumper, I have to say the best, and most recent figure I have is the 2012 Tokyo Toy show FE Optimus Prime.

This is such a nice mold, and making it translucent makes it even better. I can't stop checking it out on my shelf. The only way this figure could be better, is to make a Leader Class version....( One can always dream )
