Prime Dead End would be the most recent "wow" figure I got; coincidentally he's the latest purchase. Before him would've probably been DotM Hatchet, which was a solid year ago.

...I think it's the Vehicon for me too. I've gotten good figures since then, but not EXCELLENT ones. Just got FoC Shockwave, was hoping for excellent but more of a good.

leader starscream, man. jet mode isn't the best but his transformation and accuracy are spot-on.

Ever since in my collections from Hasbro, my favorite has always been Optimus Prime and I really have the shortage of words of appreciation to describe it. Well, the other ones are soundwave and warpath.

@ Swoop Dogg. Yes, the lion seems better always.

Definitely Hasbro MP-01. I just got my hands on one today, put on a set of long smokestacks and... holy crap. I know Hasbro MP-10 will be out any time now, and I'll be picking it up, but MP-01 looks amazing on my desk. Looks much much better in person than I expected

Agreed. The Takara version is almost too good to be true. FE Optimus is no slouch either.

Truly, truly great? As in no real complaints, minimal flaws, etc ... ?

ROTF Leader Optimus Prime. That thing is a God damn masterpiece.

HA Jazz. Not even a movie fan, at all, and I think that toy is a downright masterpiece.

Vehicon impressed the heck out of me, but PRID WHEELJACK is the best deluxe that I've handled in a long time. Maybe ever. It's just so well thought out and solid, both aesthetically and structurally, in both modes.

Prior to that, probably Alternater Tracks. It's been outdone in many ways by RTS Tracks, but a level of care went into that toy that didn't go into RTS. That metal flake plastic, the various Tracks-centric touches...

And prior to that? Oddly enough, G1 Sandstorm. One of the most under-rated G1 toys out there; a marvel of clever engineering.

Most recently I'd have to say FE Starscream. At first I didn't know what to make of it as its such a departure from the movie esthetic, generations and RTS. That figure sucked me right in though so now I have to have the whole Prime cast. I guess it really wowed me.
