In your opinion, what is the most recent Hasbro Transformer (i.e. - not Takara import, not 3rd party) that you thought was truly a great figure?

For some of you, it could be a figure released recently like the Transformers Prime Vehicon or the FOC figures for example. For others (like those who have "quit" collecting and sold off much of their collection) it might be an older figure from G1 perhaps.

For me, it's Movie Leader Starscream. I just think that it is such a well designed figure. The alt mode is very realistic and the robot mode is very screen accurate. To top it all off, it is fun to fiddle around with too. Since Movie Leader Starscream has been released, I don't feel like any other figure can compare to it. Although, I might change my mind with the upcoming Masterpiece figures.

So what say you? Please don't turn this into another negative thread or "Hasbro blows" thread. Keep those comments to yourself. I'm just curious - what is the most recent Hasbro figure that has made you felt extremely satisfied after you acquired it?

Lastly, should I change my screen name to Swoop Lion now? :D

ROTF leader Prime is only one I would consider truly great recently. DOTM leader Sentinel is also v gd. I haven't opened up leader Starscream, but he does look gd too.

probably Generations Warpath. he wasn't too small, and he looks a lot more battle-hardened and serious

out of the ones i don't have yet:

FOC Shockwave and Bruticus. very game accurate and Shockwave seems to have beautiful articulation

That I have? TFP Arcee (RID), Soundwave and Wheeljack are up there for sure.

But out of what I don't have? TFP Vehicon (RID) and FOC Shockwave look great and I'm looking forward to getting them.

Hasbro's Masterpiece Optimus Prime, the deco just looks awesome! Like it came straight out of the cartoon!

FoC Bruticus. Finally a new large combiner with individual bot/alt modes that doesn't need a 3rd party add on to look great.

    - Cyberverse Cliffjumper (best ever Cliffjumper Legends/Cyberverse CJ ever, IMO)
    - TFP FE Cliffjumper (great looking alt and bot modes, great articulation)
    - TFP RID Cliffjumper (smaller than FE, BUT more cartoon accurate)
    - TFP FE Vehicon (one of the coolest looking among the TFP figures)
    - TFP RID Vehicon (smaller, but still cool, not as good as the AM version though)
    - TFP Cyberverse Vehicon (my 2nd favorite TFP Cyberverse figure)

The last time I bought a Hasbro transformer that "wow"ed me was when I got FE Bulkhead and FE Voyager Prime. Those are some really awesome molds and it's pretty shocking that Hasbro hasn't really bothered to repaint/remold either.

Well...I guess the Tokyo Toyshow Prime and GDO Brawn sort of count, but it appears neither will see state-side release.

FE TFP Bulkhead. That thing is perfect.

Animated had a hell of a lot of magic to it. Lockdown's mass shifting is a great example.

Sure. Like I said, it doesn't matter how long ago or how recent the figure was released. I just would like to know what is the last Transformer you acquired and were extremely satisifed with. Or as someone else in this thread put it, was "wowed" by it.

Like I said earlier, I've bought a ton of figures since I bought Movie Leader Starscream, but I don't feel any of them could hold a candle when compared to Movie Leader Starscream. Movie Leader Starscream made me think "Wow!" and I was floored as to how it was superbly designed. For me, Movie Leader Starscream was last truly great figure that Hasbro released. Other more recent figures have been good, but not truly great.

    Keep the responses coming!

Nobody on my proposed screen name change to Swoop Lion?

FE Cliffjumper and PRID Vehicon are good examples of why I love this hobby. Just when I think there's no new way to skin a cat (i.e., transform a car into a robot), they prove me wrong twice in one year. As someone who's primarily interested in the engineering that goes into the toys, those guys are a dream come true.

    Generations Warpath
    Cyberverse Commander Bulkhead
    Cyberverse Commander Megatron
    FE Deluxe Starscream
    FOC Shockwave.

    To name a few.

Most recent would probably be the P-RID Vehicon. Elegant design.

Geez, this is hard. I mean, I love a ton of figures, but that doesn't make them 'great'...

ROTF Leader Prime is a masterpiece of engineering, great by any standards. As far as smaller figures go, the Prime Deluxe Vehicon is a great example of creative transformation at work, and something about Cybertron Cannonball just keeps me fiddling with him even years after it came out.
