Ironhide's the quintessential over-merchandised yet underrated Movie-verse character IMO.

He's had MANY varying toys released since this series began- Voyagers, Deluxes, Legends, and on and on- but there really doesn't seem to be a single "best" version of him like with other Movie characters with entries in multiple size classes.

So what version of Ironhide do you think is best???

I still like my TF1 Voyager since it's still the most color accurate imo. But I have a feeling if Takara release the Leader version as a Movie Masterpiece, it'll be THE one to get since I bet they'll get rid of all that ugly baby blue crap from the current Hasbro version.

HFTD deluxe ironhide. The size is meh because its a deluxe, but the bulk of the figure and the way the front of the car pegs into the chest during bot mode is acceptional. The face is accurate and i don't mind the bright blue legs. Worth it.

Leader, though I don't have the deluxe. I thought the original Voyager was a good effort, but the head sat too far back and it was a little fiddlie. The leader has a bit of arm kibble and weak arm placement (unless I have them in the wrong place), but he is solid, has some gerth to him, and can be posed short enough that he looks pretty good infront of Leader Optimus. Just a lot more detailed than the original Voyager version.

The HFTD Deluxe is my favorite, based entirely on its proportions.

I couldn't decide, so I said "screw it" and I'm just going to start an Ironhide collection.

Well, as much as I like the 07 Movie Voyager Ironhide, I really like the looks of DOTM Leader Ironhide. As soon as I get myself Leader Ironhide, he will be the definitive Ironhide in my collection.

I bought the 07 Voyager Ironhide, but I've never really been happy with him. It's part of the reason why I ended up falling off the Movie toy bandwagon. :(

All I need is my Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen N.E.S.T. Global Alliance Voyager Class Recon Ironhide. Great head, love it a LOT better than my movie 1 voyager (save for the lightning), and LOVE how many weapons he comes with.

Right now, he's my quintessential Ironhide, period. Unless maybe when a "Prime" Deluxe/Voyager comes out and if he blows him outta the water.

Aside from his size, I think the deluxe is the best.

There isn't one, IMO. Each release of him has taken one step forward in one area, and one step back in another. Out of the molds I own (4, btw) I'd say the DOTM voyager is my favorite, but that's not saying much, because I'm not too fond of him anyway (arms and lack of weapons suck). I feel that the HFTD "not-in-scale-with-anything edition" and Cyberverse Ironhides are both way overrated. The best will likely be the Leader, but even he has problems that will prevent him from being the "definitive" Ironhide (color, and maybe size).

Count me as another vote saying the Deluxe is the best. I honestly wish for a new Voyager they had just upscaled him.

    HFTD Deluxe.

Except for Deluxe Ratchet, Crankcase, Voyager Prime, Megatron and Starscream.

If they brought back ultra class and made one similar to HFTD DLX or DOTM Leader, that would be the one

The deluxe is the best and most accurate for me. It's the only one to get the correct proportions. Both DOTM IHs look fine but are not as accurate as the HFTD deluxe in their proportions.

    Cyberverse Ironhide.

I'm not even joking, I've transformed the little dude so many times and he's a solid representation of the character in both modes (and he's tiny! Tinyhide!). I love him, he's easily my favorite DotM toy to date.

After three movies I'm still content with Movie 1 Voyager.

Not going to lie I was tempted by the HFTD Deluxe.

The new Voyager and Leader just don't do it for me.

Their is no question they are nice. For those that do get them congrats.

    Clarification:

Movie Masterpiece Ironhide was, i believe, a rumor that came from Hasbro reps at Toy fair.

IIRC, Takara solicited an ULTIMATE Ironhide. The Deco on that could be anything,

Preference: I like the overall proportions of the Deluxe. But wish they could've bumped it up to a Voyager and made it a bit more complex.

The color blocking doesn't do much for it either.

I do quite like both the Voyager molds, and Recon Ironhide to boot.

The Cyberverse mold is unremarkable, For Ironhide completists only.
