Take each TF series and give me the absolute BEST epsiodes. I mean, take everything into account: writing, animation, etc. What are they?

G1: The Ultimate Weapon - Galvatron is considerably saner in this episode, and Rodimus defeats him in a clever, unorthodox way. Good animation too.
BW: Code of Hero - As far as I am concerned, this is one of the best episodes of Transformers ever written. Period.
BM: I can't remember BM very well
    RID: Ditto
Armada: Rebellion - Some clumsy translation (as is Voicebox's standard of quality), but a very nice performance from David Kaye in the final scenes. Very BW Megatron-like.
Energon: Megatron Resurrected - Great fight scene between Megatron and Scorponok.
Cybertron: Retreat - Sort of like Code of Hero in reverse for Starscream.
    Animated: Thrill of the Hunt

    G1: Triple Takeover
"Tell me what's one your mind or I'll splatter your head across the wall and find out for myself!" Best line in G1

    BW: Agenda Pt2
"...AHAHAHAHA!! AAAAAARGH! For. The! ROYALTY!!!" Coolest death. Until he came back...

    BM:Endgame. It was just amazing.

Armada:Cramp. Best death in TF by a long shot. Take that Dinobot.
"...It's time to finish this! Activate proton cannon! You're all mine Unicron!"

Animated:Mission Accomplished. Megatron's speech was awesome.

Possibly my biggest gripe out of all TF related things is the royal cock-ups that were forced upon the writers in BW Season 3. Gah, so angry.

    My picks...

    G1: Starscream's Brigade / Revenge of Bruticus
Japanese G1: The one where Soundwave dies, purely for the "darn you, Soundwave" line from Galvatron.
    BW: Code of Hero
BM: Hard to choose. Either the one where Rattrap wants weapons, the return of Silverbolt or the final ep.
    RID/Arm/Eng/Cyb: No redeeming episodes
    Animated: Fist full of Energon

My, have times changed. Now the words 'kill' and 'die/dead/death' cannot be said in cartoons?

G1: Triple Takeover or War Dawn
    BW: Agenda
    BM: The Key
Armada: The one where Starscream dies. Can't remember the name.
    Cybertron/Energon: Don't care.
    Animated: Lost & Found

G1: The Key to Vector Sigma
    BW: Code of Hero
    BM: The Weak Component
    RID: The Final Battle
    Armada: Cramp
Engeron: Havent watched enough of it to know
    Cybertron: Retreat
    Animated: Bridge too close

Special mention must also go to the last episode of Victory for its spectacular fight sequence.

It's always tough for me to choose.

G1: The Ultimate Doom parts 1-3
G1 Season 3 (I'm listing it separate since it was so different from the first two seasons): Web World
BW: Code of Hero (I hate listing the same ep as everyone else, but it really is that good)
BM: Endgame part 3: Seeds of the Future
    RiD: Volcano
    Armada: Rebellion, Cramp, Origin
    Energon: Megatron Resurrected
    Cybertron: Retreat, Beginning
Animated: Megatron Rising parts 1 and 2

    And just for fun:
    Absolute Worst From Each Series
G1: Rebirth parts 1-3. (Worse than Carnage in C Minor)
BW: uh... Dark Voyage (not bad, bad, just slow)
BM: Savage Noble: (Slow pacing, some bad editing, boring stalker sequences)
RiD: Any of the clip episodes
Armada: Decisive Battle (For those that would say "Carnival", just try to watch Decisive Battle and not gag on the horrible animation)
Energon Bulkhead (Everyone shoots non-stop for 20 minutes while praising teamwork. No, really- it's worse than usual)
Cybertron: Family (I understand why it's here, but it really killed the momentum from the previous episode by making everyone get a permission slip for the field trip)
Animated: Velocity (not bad, but not great)

    G1: "The Ultimate Weapon"
Galvatron using a very simple but kind of brilliant plan, Rodimus outsmarting him, and both much growth for Rodimus and First Aid. This ep is a great example of why G1 is a great cartoon.
(Honorable mention goes to "Burden Hardest To Bear.")

    Beast Wars: "Code Of Hero"
Yeah, yeah, I know. But it's just incrediblly well done. Action-packed, moving, and even funny at times. Dinobot truly went out in a blaze of glory, which is really the only way a character like him could go out.

Beast Machines: ...the ep where Rattrp makes a deal with Megatron for weapons.
I will admit this probably isn't the best ep in the series, but it's my favorite and I have a real soft spot for it. This is the one that won the series over for me.

    Robots In Disguise:
...It's been way to long since I saw this series and I can't remember as much as I'd like. I'd say a toss up between Sky-Byte's first appearance or the one where Fort Max rises out of the water (I loved all the Combiners merging at once).

    Armada: Cramp (?)
Not sure of that's the right title. But when Starscream went out in a blaze of glory to make Dinobot proud, I teared up a little. This ep and the character development leading up to it make the way Starscream was handled in Energon a crime.

    Energon: Megatron's return
I haven't seen enough of the series to make a fair judgement, but I very much enjoyed this ep. Megatron comes back and imediatly starts kicking ass. Awesome.

    Cybertron:
Again, I haven't seen enough to make a real judgement, and what I have seen hasn't really wowed me. I liked it, but nothing to make me go "Wow this show is great!" like all the other TF shows have managed to do at least once. However, I do like a lot of the dialogue they used during the stock footage. "Decepticons! You're on notice!"

    Animated: "Thrill Of The Hunt"
I'd been enjoying Animated. The silliness, the fun, the just-being-serious-enough to not be a complete parody. Then we got this ep, and I was blown away by the darkness and drama of it. Lockdown was a great villain, Ratchet is the unexpected hero, almost channeling NickFury at times, and we see Optimus in the role of a concered friend, which I don't recall seeing before.

This is not only my fave ep of the series so far, hands down, but also wny I'm convinced Animated in the best TF series yet. All the silliness and fun of G1 and RiD combined with the seriousness and darkness of the Beast Era. Brilliant.

Absolutely. I used to think Starscream had been reduced to a cardboard cutout in Energon with no personality whatsoever. A second viewing proved me wrong and I wound up really liking his new personality, HOWEVER, that doesn't change the fact that the writers completely wasted an already great character from Armada and made him a pale shadow of his former self.

To be fair, the character in Energon wasn't meant to be Starscream, and in Superlink, he wasn't. He was a new character Nightscream who bore similarities to Starscream but was incomplete.

    Anyway back on topic:

G1: The Golden Lagoon. (Webworld is a close second)

BW: Code of Hero. (Transmutate is a distant second)

    BM: End of the Line.

RiD: Technically none, Car Robots Counterattack! Devil Gigatron (the RiD dub leaves out the entire core plot.)

Armada: Uhh, pass. (I never saw the series; couldn't get into it.)

Energon/Superlink: Megatron Resurection, Resurection Galvatron! (Both versions of the series are my favorite, however like much of Energon/Cybertron the dub leaves a lot of neat bits of dialogue and plot points out, like Galvatrons "How do you know when you're alive? speech.)

Cybertron: None really. Galaxy Force: The Sacred Homeworld, Planet Cybertron, Destroyed?! Since the US not only mangled the dub, but cut two episodes into a single epsidoe, my favorite episode of the series didn't really air in Cybertron.

    Animated: Megatron Rising.

I know this list makes me sound like a Japanese series fan, but it's amazing how some of the best parts of the episode gets cut out when it gets translated. Bits like Vector Primes naiveness, Galvatrons how you know you're alive speech, Devil Gigatron becoming and energy vampire, and other nuances got cut out for no good reason, usually replaced with retarded dialogue. I'm not liking the Japanese series for anything other then it's more fleshed out plots in those cases.
