Just wondering what it actually is. Is RIT a brand or a specific type of dye? I am asking as I have 2 dye jobs I am planning. Do any other forms of dye work?

    Regards

RIT dye is a specific brand of clothing dye, often found at Wal-mart, some grocery stores, and most fabric stores. It comes as either a water-soluable powder, or a liquid.

RIT is usually specified because that's the only brand many people can find. I don't think I've ever seen non-RIT-brand dye for sale.

I have seen one called Tintex I think, same package design as Rit. I tried it and it sucks.

ok thats cool. Im an Aussie & if its a brand thing then it isn't a problem as I can use any dye I guess. Thought it might have had certain properties specifically for plastic but im glad thats not the case

    Regards
