Just a curious question, nothing significant. What would you think is a reasonable price to look for him at?

They were selling for about $75-79 new at Botcon, I believe. I'm not sure if they're sold out at all of the major on-line retailers or not, but if they are, that price will probably start climbing slowly (especially with the new "dark" version coming out).

ah, I am not asking as in, what's it retailed on.

I think, every bot has a "value". Something in each collector's mind that says "well, if this bot is discounted below XYZ price, I will buy it"

For example, Warbot defender. People might be thinking "well, if this bot is discounted to about 50-60$, I think I will bite", that kinda thing. So I guess I am asking, your opinion of the "biting range".

its that reason why I asked... is it worth it at 60$... I am not asking for what retail stores are selling, I am asking at what price would be a good bite, in your opinion

I would check out all the reviews of this toy. Find all the pro's and con's and decide from there. Everyone has a different idea of what a toy is worth. Some dudes have no problem with putting down $150 on a toy, while some people don't like to spend more than $20 on toys. In the end, it's up to you to do the research and decide if it's worth it to YOU.

Indeed. I have read my fair share of review on this, but what I was asking was, again, "in your opinion, what would be a price you'd bite".

I'd bite at 20. That's only because I wouldn't want to put a ton of money down for something that has some fragile areas. Even if the littlest piece broke off, I'd be bummed. And I'd still be pissed at 20 bucks if something broke on me. And I also know I'd be hard pressed to buy it at 20. I'll never see it at that price MISB or MIB.

Again, like natureboy said, it's a matter of personal opinion that no one can answer for you.

For me, I'd bite at the original price - I did and I still think it was worth it. At $60, it's an even better deal. Some people may not care for the simple transformation or the iffy shoulder pieces, others like the fact that it's a great looking and unique piece that Hasbro would have never made.

Thanks for the comment. In response to your first part, perhaps you didn't see the part when I said that I wanted other's opinion. Once again, I am fully aware that it is my own opinion for my decision. But this is part of my "research".

Take it easy, I wasn't being snarky - I was responding to where you said

...at which point the usual answer is: It's your $60, only you know what it took to get that $60 and what it's worth to you.

I apologize for sounding a bit on the harsh side. I really was just reiterating the point of asking for others opinions.

$60 seems like a pretty good price for it, I bought it at $80 brand new, and I was a little disappointed, but not much.

I've had mine for ages. I play with it and transform it all the time. Its actually one of my favorite primes. Either way, the lowest going retail price seems fair. If someone has him cheper than that, I would pick it up.

I'm waiting on the black one. Definitely an awesome mold, but the black one looks good and there is hope all the issues the original release had may be fixed.
