No way.... Well, thats my opinion and I have no facts to back that up but Trypticon should be worth more than that stripped down, big horned version:2c:

Oops, that just takes me to the login page.

But yeah, I've seen Gigastorms go for less than £100 in the past. Might be because I'm in the UK and there isn't enough people who know who the figure is to push his value up.

I have to admit I like the Gigastorm redeco/remold better than the original. Does Gigastorm still have the stuff to walk though?

Gigastorm can walk and he goes for $150 to $175 MIB. I have been looking for one for a couple months now. Trypticon goes for more loose

Last I checked a loose complete Trypticon was fetching $300+ easy. Gigastorm I've seen as low as $150 shipped MIB.

if it was the US MP Grimlock then that was a really good trade. If it was Takara MP Grimlock then that is a pretty close fair trade. I would say you did alright.

Has anyone noticed any discrepancy in price between the Japanese and Korean versions?

Wow I didn't realize this guy went up that much in price. I got mine MIB a looooong while back for about $60 I think. I haven't really thought about him in a long time, I just keep him in robot mode behind Trypticon (in base mode) to have both modes displayed together.

Back on topic. I don't think he'll ever go as high as Trypticon because he had most of Trypticon's base mode accessories left out. When I originally bought him I was going to buy the Trypticon parts to "complete" him, but they used a slightly different purple on Gigastorm so the parts looked a bit too funny for my taste.

i had one of each side by side...aside from the boxes...they look exactly the same...price wise on ebay i have not see a difference on the few auctions that have come up with him for sale...

he was on ebay quite a while ago with tons of auctions...now he is pretty rare...not popping up too often

Isn't Gigastorm's gray a darker shade than Trypticon's? That's what it seemed like to me.

Is the Takara version worth more than the Sonokong version?

i sold mine on ebay a few weeks ago...complete but no box or paperwork...put him up for $180 plus shipping...

settled on $169 via best offer....and he was sold in about 3 hours from listing time on ebay till the sale was completed...

with the box and paperwork...easily $200 or more.

I got into a huge argument with some Japanese fans who insisted Korean ones are KOs because they aren't Japanese, therefore cheaper. I did my first (and only so far!) ragequit after explaining SonoKong and still got the same response.
