The Takara reissue of G1 Galvatron has a voice provided by the original (Japanese) voice actor, Seizo Kato. Does anyone have a list of his lines and their translations? The e-hobby exclusive has one different quote, and I especially want know what that is.
In owning that toy for years I've never actually wondered this. Now I'd love to know! Regardless, I will forever love his laugh.
Internet is a wonderful thing... But I didn't find anything in the few minutes I spent searching. Only bit of info I found is that the phrases are recycled from the Talkformers Galvatron toy.
D-62-S Galvatron II (E-Hobby Exclusive) - Transformers Reissue Transformers Exclusives & Repaints The additional one is "washi no kobun ni naranuka?" (Do you wish to become my minion?) - I am sure someone has a better translation of this line
Thankfully, we got some answers concerning your age-old question. Check out the comment on this video by actionjackman. Oh and the voice lines, they came from a very old TF toy sub-line called Talkformers: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/U2t6JdCJVo0 And it's here: "Wa-ha-ha-ha, kono orokamono-me!" (Bwah ha ha ha! You fools!), "Eei, Cybertron wo hineri-tsubuse!" (Hrr--crush the Autobots!), "Kono yaku-tatazu mono ga!" (You're all useless!), "Eei, hakai shite kureru wa!" (Grrah, I'll destroy you!), "Destron gundan, transform!" (Decepticon army, transform!).
I was a bit bored. But on the other hand, it turns out that the voice clips I mentioned were originally from the Talkformers. This thing: Youtube user Aburamaster102 has both Galvatron and Rodimus toys of these guys and since its from the 80's, the voice clips seems more distorted and high pitched. Guess it took about 20 years to get that crisp sound system right with the reissue.
Thanks for those new tidbits @IczerRyuga. Even though it came years after the thread's original cycle, it's still a useful bit of information.
I mean I've had 12 years to learn all of this from other sources already, which I'm pretty sure are still available, so this thread isn't going to serve anybody in the long term anyway. Also the purple one isn't the e-hobby version. The e-hobby version was the one in toy colours.
And you didn't want to share what you learned in this thread? I don't see a problem with posting in old threads if they still require answers
So you're saying when you found the answers, you forgot you created a thread asking the question. I see. In any case, someone adding new information to this thread is good and I'm sure others will find it useful and interesting. I certainly did.
I mean this respectfully, OP, but I don’t know why you’re being the way you are over something so benign. Then again, this is exactly the kind of reaction and attitude that turns people off from contributing to threads in the first place.
