Insects or arachnids that are indoors. They don't need to be indoors. Scared is a bit much, I just don't like it.
Hornets and wasps. Those creep the heck out of me. Other than those, I like insects and looking at them up close Always loved spiders too.
Pretty much. Actually, I like pretty much all bugs & things because I find em interesting, but even ignoring the that I've been attacked multiple times by wasps as a child, the fact alone that they can fly puts em MILES above shit that can't. I mean with spiders its like cool, unless you catch me by surprise, I'll just run away or put you in a jar. ... however with wasps, they can fly, and in a way that seem to defy physics to their advantage. Plus, I find spiders in my house all the time & unless they get in my bed, it's never a big deal.
I have a display of a few dead arthropods and a bat and lizard, so insects overall don't scare me at all. SPIDERS on the other hand...man, if I turned around and saw a spider crawling on my wall, I'd totally flip a shit. The hairy ones are the scariest. They've got those soulless eyes and those ridiculously scary fangs. Fire ants are also on my list of bugs to avoid.
Insects I can take, man. COME AT ME. Anything from the arachnid family will turn me into a blubbering little girl, however.
-Those black/red wood wasps. When I was younger, I'd come within twenty feet of one, and it'd come straight at me and sting me. They must have had a vendetta against me, because I'd get stung the minute I'd step outside. I used to be scared of bees, but I've discovered they're not as pissed off as wasps are. I could stand inches away, and they aren't bothered. As long as I'm not keeping them from their job, they have no reason to attack. I've actually grown fond of watching them. -Mud Daubers. They bear a close resemblance to the wasps I mentioned, and I absolutely...HATE IT...when one has to get right in my face just for the sake of getting up in my face and increasing my heart rate. I do, however, find how they put their nests together rather impressive; I watched one putting its tube-like nest together, layer by layer. -Honorable mention: Not really scared, but more creeped out than anything. I'm not sure what they're called, but we called 'em "poppin' bugs" - you pick 'em up, they'd bend back and "pop" like a knuckle to wriggle free.
Uggg I know not their name, but I definitely know what you're talking about with the poppin bugs. If those were human sized...
