....We had a new trilogy (non-reboot) where the Decepticons are the protagonists. Like some of them realizing the error of their ways and trying to make up for what they've done and some of them trying to conquer Earth again and the Autobots playing in but not as much as before. Kind of like a revolution/war going on within the Decepticons ranks? Huh? Huh? What do you guys think?
Something like Halo 2, where there is a great schism in the enemy ranks? I could see that. There is one "Arbiter" type guy, and another "Prophet" type guy.
If it's like Code Geass where we have both perspectives of two factions (Like The Black Knights and The Holy Britannia Army) with neither side is the true good guy. It sure as hell will work in Bayformers considering how the Autobots acted mostly like dicks anyways. Again Shattered Glass is a good concept too, I'd love to see that but people won't like because it's the opposite of what they already knew and loved.
In shattered glass the humans were Eli too.... Oh ok...humans are always evil... Cause humans are stupid...
I think conflict among the Decepticons would be a good story. IDW kind of did that with the Ongoing. Have some Decepticons that do not want ANY part to do with the war and then have some of the remaining Cons be up to their old ways. It'd be interesting, but I don't think it'd carry well to a general audience. As far as the Shattered Glass idea: I would LOVE to see that happen. Again though it wouldn't carry to the general audience.
I prefer the idea of Dinobots only, to turn the whole franchise in a Decepticon-Civil War is way too weird for me.
Just introduce the Quintessons and there you go. Autobots and Decepticons joining forces to stop a common threat. Simple.
