I dont know if a this topic has been brought up in the past, but I was wondering if anyone would like to see a GIJoe/Transformers film if possible? I know the setting in the films are different with TF being in present day and GI being like a decade in the future, but may be it could be sorted out but idk, I would just like to hear other peoples thoughts cause I certainly would like to see this crossover.

Heck maybe in the GIJoe movie they'll make some small reference to the Transformers in some way, just a thought though.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who's a producer for both film franchise's, said he had no plans to do a crossover.
But truely, that descion lies at that fate of Hasbro.

To be honest I hope it doesn't happen. I always like the TF/Joes comics, but it would feel out of place in the movies.

if tyrese and the other guy from the first movie where to become gi joe that would have made a lot more sense but they fucked up by having a sissy boy dancer as duke, so beacuse of that there is no way transformers and gi joe could be a successful crossover movie

Naw. I think it would be over complicated, and neither property would get the time needed in a movie. I think it could work as a series, but a 2 hour movie would be a terrible place to explore a GI Joe/TF teamup.

Give us good films for each franchise first. Then, we'll talk.

Are you kidding? We've begged and begged Hasbro for things like a HISS tank that transforms into Prime and every time Hasbro has shot us down. Seem like you can cross every last property Hasbro has with Transformers except for GI Joe. So no way it would ever happen. If we can't get a toy cross over we sure aren't going to get a movie cross over.

A few Easter eggs in each movie will be about the most we can hope for.

No thanks. Whenever Transformers is crossed over with something else the TF side of it always suffers in some way. I don't want TF to basically be reduced to talking walking tanks for GI Joe characters to order about while taking all the glory and character development.

Anyway, BayFormers is more than enough like a TF/GI Joe crossover for me. A proper crossover film would just magnify those things from BayFormers I already dislike most.

Indeed, Lennox and Epps are based on Duke and Epps, because it was the easiest source of inspiration Orci and Kurtzman could find for the soldiers. I asked Bob if he ever thought about a crossover and he said that was the extent of it.

Given the crap fest of films coming out in 2009 I don't know if even the bad concepts for the GI Joe movie will be bad enough for it to bomb. Looks like it would be hard fight to find a way to be worse than the live action Street Fighter movie or live action Dragon Ball Z movie.

One of these days I'll just have learn to accept I'm living in the era when there are no standards left to film making. People will watch just about anything you throw up on the screen these days if you have some slick marketing for it.
