what if the next masterpiece was Metroplex?

Before you call me crazy here Me out, if Metroplex was the next masterpieceit could be sold to a wide range of collectors.

People who collect the masterpiece line still get a strong G1 character.

For those of us who collect classics and universe we would get a large-scale accurate G1 representation of the character. Since the new generations line will only include deluxe size figures, this would be are one-shot at a large-scale figure.

what do you think am I crazy, or is that a good idea?

If they go with the current trend of MP Prime and MP Megatron be the exception, rather than the norm, in terms of figure size/height, then an MP Metroplex would be perhaps slightly taller than MP Grimlock....i.e., he'd look really funny displayed anywhere with any figures except for legends class.

I think Metroplex can be a great Masterpiece figure if he was kept the same size as his G1 counterpart. His gimmicks can involve interactivity with other smaller sized tfs (his accessories can even be smaller versions of the other Autobots).

I'm happy with Cybertron Metroplex. But hell, I can't say that wouldn't be downright OUTSTANDING.

Personally, I imagine the next MP to be Hot Rod or Soundwave.

I wouldn't mind a MP City-former as long as it's the same size as past MP figures.

It should come with little micro-machine versions of Transformers in both vehicle and robot mode.

I think the concept of the toy should be treated as more of a transformable playset for micro figures. Launching ramps, command rooms, working elevators, repair bays, gun stations, etc. The City's robot mode and vehicle mode would be treated to help incorporate play value with their micro figures. The figures could stand on the shoulders of the City's robot mode, and ride in the interior command center or man gun stations for vehicle mode.

Your probably correct, I see that as the most likely outcome. I was just trying to imagine away we would see a Classics Metroplex.

I feel the Classics universe generation line is missing a lot of the larger characters.

I wouldn't mind seeing Metroplex made, that would definitely make me buy some WST so I could have a nice display with him. Hm... I like the idea the more I think about it.

If the next MP was Metroplex, oh my gosh that would be near 200 if not 300 simple cause of the size. It would be kind of neat though but wow that cost would be killer on US the USA fans.

Considering the price of the previous MP releases, a Masterpiece Metroplex would make my bank account cry (especially if it's huge to keep it somewhat in scale with the other MP figures). It would be cool, but the price would scare the hell out of me.

All Cyb. Metroplex needs is some towers, a Scamper, Slammer, & Six-gun, and a fresh coat of paint as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to see updates of some of the larger G1 toys. I don't think that they would have to be in proportion with other MP figures by being enormous. Make them about the same size as Grimlock. I wouldn't mind that.

Honestly I would love to some big bots/ baseformers brought back. I would love for Hasbro to do this classics/universe/generations/MP style. Do I think it will happen? No not really. But I do remember Unicron and Energon Omega. So there is still hope. But I suspect (IF HASBRO IS PAYING ATTENTION) that the fan base and collectors and scalpers would buy the hell out of these!

    BRING ON METROPLEX!
