After watching Episode 23 again i got the odd thought. Throughout the entire franchise (for the most part) Optimus has been the only one to be able to take down or fight Megatron (or vice-versa). So my question is, what if it was to be someone else to take down Meg's? How would you feel? Who do you think should bring him down? Personally i'm all for Bumblebee getting some redemption/revenge for what happened in Ep. 14 & 23.

Starscream. He deserves retribution for the abuse he has taken.

 

Starscream. It's his time to shine.

 

I voted long live Megatron. But I do think Optimus will take him down.

But no worries. I think Optimus will kill Megs. Then that dark energon will turn Meg's corpse into a purple glowing nutter that might look familiar.

 

Shockwave! it would be a logical assumption for him to take over leadership of the decepticons as megatron has been corrupted/compromised by dark energon

 

Ratchet... just because I'd like to know how he'd do it.  

My second choice is Starscream. This is the moment he's been waiting for since 1984.

 

I'm wanna say Optimus AND Starscream. Starscream only does it because he feels he shares a common foe with the Autobots.

But in the end, I bet it'll be Optimus who takes down Megs...AS USUAL. But, it's just my $0.02.

Dark energon flaming down the sky. Lightning whipping past the swirling storm clouds. A blade rises amongst the chaos. "My destiny... This isn't how it's suppossed to end!" Shaking eyes meet with his killers for a split second. "Huuuyah!"

 

Optimus and Starscream.

It would be cool to see Starscream drop kick Megatron. XD

Oh I also wouldn't mind the others getting there in time.

I will take anything that makes sure Optimus survives.

Because if he doesn't....

Starscream going out on his own makes the idea of him taking down Megs a lot more intriguing than his usual "Now I, Starscream, am leader of the Decepticons!" schtick.

Optimus will kill Megatron, and Unicron will rise him as Galvatron.

 

I'm hoping to see Starscream at least attempt to destroy Megatron. I'd love to see him swoop down at the start of the next episode and launch a barrage of missiles on Optimus and Megatron, sending Optimus flying back and Megatron down on his knees.

It'll happen eventually, if even only temporarily. It's practically tradition at this point.

Didn't Peter Cullen say Optimus wasn't going to die? And he said he hated the fact that all of the fans were so upset that Optimus died and he didn't want that to happen again.

If not Optimus, then Starscream should be the other candidate.

 

Between Transformers tradition and that perpetual struggle between good (aka Optimus) v.s. evil (aka Megatron) it'll always come down to Optimus taking out Megs. Not that I mind too much   it is, after all, tradition. You change that and it'd be like having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without the peanut butter. Plus, the way that TFP is making Megatron out to be a super villain of epic proportions so far only Optimus is anywhere powerful enough to attempt it/ be a legitimate threat (look what happened when super-Ratchet tried to take Megs down;he got one good shot it before Megatron took him down in 30 seconds)

BUT

That being said, IF the writers are going for something different and shake up tradition, 'Screamer would be awesome (Steven Blume for the win!) and failing that, I'd pay good money to see Fowler step in for some amazing pwnage and be the one who takes out Megatron by some equally awesome nonsensical fluke!

 

I understand the Starscream love, but I really don't think he could do it. The show has made it very clear that he is nothing compared to Megatron, so he wouldn't be able to do it barring some super-upgrade. Megatron's only real equal right now is Prime.

 

Well see for me, I voted for the kids because it seemed like the ultimate humiliation for Megatron to get bested by them in the end. I mean, if he meets his doom at the hands of Bulkhead, Ratchet, or even one of his underlings like Starscream or Airachnid, at least he'd be able to go out with the notion that he had it coming, but if the kids were the ones to screw him over, hehe well, that would just make it even worse for the big guy.
