Movie Leader Prime , and Sideswipe. those i must have!!

 

There hasn't been anything Transformers shown so far that really does it for me or gives me a feeling of excitement. I'm not saying the figures are bad or anything, but they just don't seem to have any of the magic that makes hunting down new toys for the collection fun. Nothing that says I want to buy this and I want to display this with the stuff that makes me happy.

Sort of sad really because Hasbro did display stuff that has me really excited, just not in the Transformers line. Some of the GI Joe movie stuff has me excited so you can't say I don't like toys just because they are different and in a summer action film. Some classic stuff for the GI Joe fans as well so there is still that glow of wow Hasbro still loves us even with a movie coming out. Exciting stuff in the Marvel Universe line. Once again a nice mix of classic and new. Even some of the Star Wars stuff was exciting and I don't even collect Star Wars.

Looking at Hasbro's other franchises I guess that makes the bite a bit deeper that Transformers seems to be the only line that's not attempting to mix something for the old fans and something for the new fans. Nothing wrong with liking the movie stuff, but wow do I ever feel left out this year.

Pretty much all of it was cool except for the twins and the crushing disappointment of Devastator

 

Practically everything besides Devs and Robot Replicas was win. Rampage especially, though I really want to see him transformed correctly.

Has anybody mentioned whether Breakaway is in the movie? I'm sure it was discussed at the presentation.

 

I agree with the desire to teleport there and swipe Leader Prime. Just once I'd like to see it properly transformed though. >_>
I am glad that they actually did make it so the sun visor can be accurately placed.

 

I liked Arcee. Don't know if I'll buy her though... I don't collect TF Animated.

I've never been a fan of the Movie toys, or the Animated toys.. so none of that does anything for me... and they showed nothing for Universe that was new... not even any more repaints which is all I was honestly expecting.. just wanting to know if I can get the Cheap Universe Red Alert.. or will I have to import the expensive Henkai Red Alert.. Legends Cliffjumper.. just small stuff like this..

 

I liked everything in the main lines. I might buy some of the other stuff ( fabs, gravity, powerbots, RPM) for the kid

 

I have to add the keychains to my list. They look way better than the last ones.

On a side note: Is it just me, or is every other thread here just whining, bitching and bellyaching? It saddens me that people would rather dwell in misery than discuss positives and what they like.

 

I really like the RPM's. Hell, I might just get doubles of all of them if they are only 1-2 dollars.
Electrostatic Soundwave/ Soundblaster is AWESOME. Ratbat is just as good if not better than laserbeak.

Arcee: She looked a little odd at first, but after looking at her some more, it looks really good.
$100 Devy: I don't mind that the individual vehicles don't have robotmodes. Looks like he has full range of motion too.

 

I liked Leader OP, Starscream, Demolishor/Scavenger, Sideswipe, The Twins (Skids more than Mudflap, though I still dislike both of their headsculpts quite a bit, but the rest is cool), Soundwave (I own one and it's cool), the Legends toys, Breakaway (kind of), Electrostatic Soundwave, and, oh yeah, DEVASTATOR.

Only stuff I didn't care for was the merch, RPMs, Robot Heroes, Robot Replicas, Power Bots, and Arcee.

 

I have to add Robot replicas Starscream and Ironhide. These two look great.

 

Rampage and Breakaway caught my eye.

Everything else was meh or seen it and liked it before.

The other franchises though blew me away. SWs, Marvel, and others except GI Joe. I don't collect them so no interest.

 

Animated Arcee is about all I can say I liked. Movie Sideswipe looks pretty cool, but I can't get enthusiastic about any of the movie toys really. I don't like the Animated Soundwave mold but I just like the fact that Ratbat is a keytar. Unfortunately, his body in bat mode looks a little... missing.

 

Animated only. Movie was a real downer for me.

 

sideswipes got a great alt mode, id pick him up on that basis alone and just keep him in as a car for display if the robot mode turns me off. ill wait and see on the rest! so they should be coming out with more robot heroes than just the ones pictured right? its safe to assume like 2-3 more waves...maybe?...that means maybe some more G1's
