What if a Movie Con was responsable for that?

well that happened in Ukraine, and IF IM NOT Wrong They sayed that they we´re gonig to film DOTM in Ukraine, so what if the Ukraine scenes had something to do with that

i doubt it but well if they we´re going to put that in the film, what tf you think should have caused it?

the ferris wheel seen in the shot with Lazerbeak does look familier...

this is the ferris wheel in the abandoned town of Prypait (Chernabyl was in the outskirts of Prypait)

I was thinking the same thing about the ferris wheel. Watching a documentary on Chernobyl, there was a playground or some area that had a ferris wheel very similar to the one in a play area near the site.

Also, keep in mind they built an enormous sarcophagus over a portion of the blown-out reactor...what if this sarcophagus was meant to keep something 'else' from getting out?

I had mentioned this exact scenario quite sometime ago. I figure shockwave teamed with the Russians to make energon, but something went wrong and left shockwave in stasis lock or something till he is revived by decepticons

Where did this info come from? One of the comics? I have been out of the loop for a while and just trying to catch up to speed.

Yes from the comics (Rising Storm 2) and from Albershide (well he did not confirmed it but he speuclated that shockwave did that and turned out true)

Seems like I need to pick me up some comics then lol. So they are trying to implement more of a backstory through events in history with the movie then?
I guess there are so many things that have happened throughout time that could be worked into the movie story line.

I don't think they're at Chernobyl. That is Simmon's Maybach that was seen, on set, in Chicago. Why would he ship his car to Chernobyl to drive around in?

True. Chicago does have the boardwalk and if I remember correctly...it's been 16 years since I have been there, they have a ferris wheel there.

is it a rusty old run-down ferris wheel that looks like it's been abandoned for the last 36 years?

The chairs on the ferris wheel in the lazerbeak shot look different than the buckets on the Chernobyl ferris wheel. The Chernobyl seats have white awnings and appear to be buckets, while those in the trailer have neither feature.

In real life no. In the movies possibly. I don't know why Sam and friends would go there. You can't survive there for to long without proper protection.
Shockwave probably caused it in the movies though.
