What has Optimus's trailer done in G1?
I know what it dose in DOTM but what dose it do in G1?
Combat Deck (G1) - Transformers Wiki
It has given us something to talk about for almost 30 years. Here's to another 30!
It did magic tricks back in G1, here one moment and gone the next.
One time it seriously became Inferno. I LOL'd hard...
Pimpslapped chumps in The PS2 game "TV Dreammix Fighters", among other things.

On topic, the Trailer functioned as a kind of forward combat base kind of thing, housed the Roller drone, and could serve as a repair bay. Much more than just a weapons stand and jetpack.
I don't think it ever did anything in G1 except for one episode where Prime went bad. He opened it in that episode.
To sell toys!
His Trailer transformed and shot off Megatrons Fusion cannon at the end of MTMTE part 3.
It also was great at turning invisible and making his Truck mode 'complete'.
Didn't it go into this space or something? I forget what its called but its used to store things and save space.
Opens up to become a merchandise stand. Bot's gotta make money somehow on Earth...
Is always been Optimus' trailer no one never talk about Magnus' or Rodimus' trailers disappear.
Magnus transforms with his trailer. Who cares about Rodimus anyways...
This. It's the backbone of what most discussions on the franchise have been about. What else would be nerd-rage and argue about?
He uses his trailer on occasion, including using the weapons base, deploying roller, and carrying injured autobots. In general its shown to pull back off screen when he transforms int robot mode and pull back up whenhe transforms back into vehicle mode. My assumption since the 80's has been that the trailer its self can move on its own and just drives out of the way when not in use.
It does bring up the question of why he had it in Return of Optimus Prme. Were the autobots just hanging on to the trailer that whole time?
Rodimus I've always been iffy on. The trailer is never shown as a separate piece in the cartoon even though the toy is two pieces. I'm wondering if maybe he was meant for the trailer to be part of his transformation. The Titanium Rodimus toy certainly supports that conclusion.
optimus should unite trailer
he come super optimus prime
Roller rolls out of it.
Seriously I once saw him put a bunch of mamoths and barbarians in it. Also he saved Wheel Jack when he got knocked out of the sky.
Look The transformers More than Meets The Eye Part 3 they show you as the autobots and decepticons battle each other.
