What I think is happening in this scene is that Bumblebee saw the pictures of the Ultimate Optimus Prime figure.

or someone died.

 

Soundwave is getting his revenge by giving Bumblebee too many sonic booms.

 

Brain freeze. He took some icecream from the truck (the twins reverted to their old forms).

 

Thing is, Bay's said there is no calvary. I guess unless until Optimus comes in and kicks some as.

ya i am from pittsburgh and i don't even give a crap that they lost.
also maybe bee just realized that he can't be as cool as prime. like the scene where prime came down in his jet pack then bee looks at him and was like oh i wish that I was a B.A. like him but i am just a babysitter.

 

I think it's the realization that they are gonna be defeated. I'd actually love to see that, and then resilience.

It makes me kinda sad to think it, but I really think don't Ironhide is going to make it to the end of this movie. 

 

He is facepalming at Michael Bay's knowledge of a movie plot.

 

We might be lucky and he stays dead this time.

WIN.......Intelligent, articulate post that stays right on topic, minus silly attempts at quips.

 

If Ironhide dies, it would be the only time I came close to crying during the viewing of this franchise, and that is, only if his death is as grandiose as you described. If it's a small sputter of a death like how Arcee died in ROTF, there won't be enough emotional content to build up any sadness. If they kill off Ironhide, they'd better make his death a long, drawn out fight that he puts every fiber of his autobot being into.

 

Yes, please. And see? That's what I'm getting at. Most people in the audience probably didn't realize that Arcee was a character, let alone that her character died. Not much screentime and inconsistent screentime at best, barely any dialogue and a "death" that lasted a single shot. With Ironhide, like I said, he has to go out with a bang. If any Autobot deserves a huge fight scene where they die, it's Ironhide!   Taking on an entire squad of 'Cons, shouting at them and laying rounds into them. Plus, if he dies, I hope that they do the - what is now considered the live-action "death" - of a slow-motion fall to the ground, one last groan or sigh and then the fading of the optics. He finally manages to take down several Decepticons, and he stands there panting. Fluids leak from joints and sparks ... spark ... from his metal. He looks down to see the extensive damage whispers "I'm sorry, Prime" and collapses. All in glorious slow-motion. Epps and Ratchet run up to him shouting, trying to save Ironhide, but it's too late. And having some characters mourn for him later wouldn't hurt.  

And on that note, I'm really excited to see the little side-adventure/sub-plot-thingy that apparently involves Ironhide, Optimus and Lennox. If those characters can all interact with each other, that'd be amazing.
