The problem with bringing back anything from Beast Wars is that kids won't buy it since they don't know what it is. Fans will probably already have the toys, so no purchases from them either. Universe isn't popular with kids since they have no clue who a lot of those characters are. Sure, you might sell a couple of Classics Primes because some kid knows Prime from the movie, but Dropshot for example is someone a kid won't recognize.
In general looks it was pretty good. In motion it was ... better than Energon. The distinction of the CGI of Beast Wars and Beast Machines was not the rendering so much (dated now, but for a mid-nineties childrens' TV budget, nice.), but the animators' ability to make the characters act. "Prime" could be pretty good, but I'm already a little wary when it was mentioned a Japanese CGI studio was doing the work. Could be excellent, could be a more modern version of Cybertron's CGI.
From what I've seen, Beast Mode toys aren't that popular with the kids these days. Even the Animated Dinobots didn't do that well, from what I can gather, and we all know that kids like dinosaurs. It's just that, probably because of the movies, kids only want vehicle modes. I grew up with Beast Wars, and I was sad when Hasbro announced they weren't going to put Beast Era characters in Generations
wow i am shock to see that some of u don't get it u can set there and tell me that TF:beast wars was not a gud show ever
I have no idea what you're saying. Most of the posts here are saying a new BW show wouldn't work, not that it wasn't a good show. Which is an answer to your question.
Beast Wars was not a gud show ever. It was an okay show at times. All in all, however, it's not only about the show. Beast Wars figures just aren't that good. You can try to bring a show back, but it's going to need toys to go with it. On top of that, the greater public recognizes Transformers as being vehicles. Either because of G1 or the new movies. The Beast Era to me was just a radical reinvention phase that really, the whole toy+cartoon medium went though in the 90's. I'm just glad they didn't make Transformers: Extreme like everyone else did.
I loved/love the beast wars show and figures. but their time is over. hasbro tried bringing them back twice, it didnt work.
Exactly. It worked back then because TFs turning into vehicles was stale, but now that's the norm and that's all anyone thinks when they think "transformers." Beast Wars is the best, and always will be for me. But it's past it's time.
