i grew up with transformers beast war and i just want to no with all this new tech why can't they make a new TF show like beast war
It's not the tech that is the problem it's a problem of investing in writing that can move a story that way. Artwork isn't too hard to get just look at all the nice looking cartoons out there now. Deep characters and writing up to kids instead of writing down to kids is a problem. Sure you get a few Avatar the Last Bender cartoons but you also get a lot of bad writing even for the target of a kids market.
I have no idea what you're saying. In terms of story? Then go with Animated. Looking for a CGI show? Transformers: Prime is coming out. Looking for animal-based toys? No chance, although a few might come out on occasion. What do you mean by "i just want to no with all this new tech"?
Grew up with that series too. I would love a new BW series on tv today with today's 3D tech. To be honest if there was one, I would rather have characters for it. That way a new generation of fans can have their own favorite characters like we did. Sadly I dont think it will happen. Seems like Hasbro just focus on using older names from a past series over and over. I would just be happy if the Maximals and Predacons were just a sub group in a future series. Anything is better then this.
Well, heck, we're *getting* a new CGI-animated series later this year! Whether or not it'll be as good as Beast Wars remains to be seen, but they're putting the tech into it, anyway! (I'm assuming you were focusing on the CG animation, there.)
Hmm. Just because CGI tech is new doesn't mean it's better than what was used for Beast Wars. Just look at Energon... but have a barf bag handy.
A new Beast Wars would be great... Wait till after the Third movie is released and everyone gets bored with the SAME transformers. That would probably be your best chance for a new beast wars.
beast wars has failed every time they've tried to bring it back. all the anniversary figures shelfwarmed for ages. including the TRU exclusive leader set. cheetor was probably the worst shelfwarmer out of universe 2.0, but I think I blame his toy design for that more than the whole animal robot thing. kids just dont seem to want robots that turn into non-robotic animals right now.
Perhaps after The Hub has established itself as something kids watch then they could take a chance. Just seems like between a video game coming out, a new show on The Hub, Power Core, Generations, and a third movie they have things so busy right now it would be hard to throw more in and still get a top quality product.
Very true but apart of me never wants to see a new Beast Wars. Face it, anything G1, RID, Armada, etc has never been and probably never will be written to the standards of Beast Wars. Somethings you just leave alone, BW's has Godfather status in my opinion.. although Animated was a great series and the best since BW I think someone on the show even won an Emmy, something no other TF series has ever accomplished plus it was such an expensive show to produced in the first place. The first season cost 18 million according to Bob Forward. Oh yes... Wiki is great if you click on the source material... yeessssss is that how much animated Cartoons show cost? That is a lot of money.
Well, yeah. Of everything between Beast Wars and Animated, Cybertron is probably the best. At least in my opinion. Cybertron was what really got me into Transformers. Hmm. I think one of the main reasons the Beast Wars 10th anniversary line failed was because not enough people were familiar with BW. If it had continued in syndication on a channel that deserves airtime things might have been different. (FOX Kids should never have been allowed to TOUCH a Transformers series. They censored episodes, particularly violence involving missiles, to the point where some episodes were reduced to eight minutes. That's also why the American version of RID is flawed: FOX censorship).
I think the 10th anniversary line could had work better if Hasbro did it different. Like bring over Beast Era figures that were Japan only figures. Sure some American collectors might have had them. But not all of us did. Also redo all the show figures. Make them more show like, keep them around the same size. Also they should had done commericals, show the series again, also went into other markets. Like having Primal's image on a 3rd grader's notebook or backpack. Do clothes as well. The movies does it. Might be a different time, but it could had work if Hasbro had done that back then. I'll go back to Machine Wars. That was around when Beast Wars first came around. Yet it failed even as a vehicle transfomer based line. When I was growing up, I never saw commericals for the line after Beast Wars took a commerical break.
