Why don't the autobots use the gizmo they picked up at the end of " metal attraction" to repel any decepticons they might come across. Say they were raiding an energon mine and then need to get rid of a cavefull of cons fast and they use the gizmo to magnetize them all together. Problem solved. I mean they were worried megatron would do the exact same thing to them if he got his hands on the device.

In that case...the magnetic field would be pretty noticeable in something that's supposed to be a stealth mission. The field the polarity gauntlet gives off is how they found it in the first place.

Down the road tho, I do expect to see the thing again.

I think the whole Metal Attraction episode intent was for Airachnid to be discovered by the rest of the Decepticons. God knows that magnet gizmo thing could be use down the line in season 2.

They tried using it but while Optimus was standing still, concentrating on using the glove, Soundwave opened up a Ground Bridge and dropped a boulder on him. Optimus never made the mistake of using it again.

    Bulkhead accidentally stepped on it.

    Ratchet: Bulkhead I needed that!

Because it would be too easy and there would be very little fighting.

I really hated how they padded out Season 1 with these random artifacts out of nowhere.

They gave it to Ratchet and he stored it along with the Immobilizer they from the 'Harbringer' in the episode "Partners', that they had to rebuild. I was wondering if any of these items would play a part in Ratchet developing new technology or their powers being used to help the ground bridge..but so far, nope. Ah well, they served their purpose..lured the autobots and decepticons into another fight they wouldnt have had otherwise. lol.

That's one of the main problems I had with Season 1. All these ancient alien artifacts/devices scattered around and not a single one stumbled upon by humans. Not a single one. Not even the conspicuously large, broken pieces of spaceship lying out in the open. ...Really? I just found that utterly baffling. A lot of the episodes were formulaic, centering around "the MacGuffin of the Day," and upon retrieval weren't ever really mentioned, used, or seen again. But I honestly don't think they would just stockpile all that stuff and completely forget about them. That would be disappointing and lame. Apparently, the MacGuffin hunting episodes are supposed to be set-ups for future arcs, so they're just keeping the weapons in storage for now.

Honestly, I think they're not using it because Autobots aren't cheaters. W I mean is that they fight with honor whereas the Decepticons are... deceptive. I haven't seen any of the Autobots use any kind of sneaky or deceitful tactic to win a fight.

Example: In "Partners" Arcee got mad at Starscream (he was in handcuffs) and was about to Slag him, but she gave him the keys to the cuffs because she wouldn't fight him by unfair means.

Optimus wouldn't approve of using the artifact as an advantage in battle, so they don't do it. He is the leader after all:)
Ratchet might use it every now & then for science purposes, but never for war.

The Autobots are ones to be admired, more specifically Optimus:thumbs2:

Some piece or pieces of it may end up with MECH, reversed engineered and reproduced in some sort of... "combination experiment/project"?

Just a shot in the dark... :)

Optimus doesn't love the Power Glove. It's too bad.

I've got it at my house. I plan to use the key to vector sigma on myself and then I'm gonna use it to make Arcee stick to me.

It's probably in the same place as the Immobilizer. I think Ratchet has a huge closet that he keeps all of the plot devices in.

They'll remember it exists when they need it.

Though it wouldn't be a good idea to use that magnet thing in any mission since apparently it gives off weirdass magnetic readings when it's not even TURNED ON. There wouldn't be stealth when Decepticons detected insane magnetical anomaly near their space bridge.
