For a brief moment, Erector was the savior of dreams, the pinnacle of character development and the apparent center of the TF universe. Not to mention sig pics, stories of how his toy single handedly saved a bus load of nuns from a fiery crash, countless fan fictions, photoshops, shirts, buttons, HoF nominations, etc. Then...nothing. Weird.
I think a lot of people would not like him when everyone has a computer & could look up what his name means
I heard he was mobbed by an angry crowd at Botcon, and decided to live out the rest of his days in solitude. Doing his best for humanity from afar, despite their fateful and cruel ignorance.
Erector is always present. Sometimes he gets the spotlight, but often times he enjoys building things behind the scenes. If he were signing autographs all day long, he'd never get anything done. I'm sorry if this is stating the obvious, but sometimes you have to.
He experienced a lot of exposure to new found fame during that HOF run ... typically if you experience something like that for more than 4 hours you should seek medical assistance. Erector did just that and hasn't returned since ...
Erector is with us always. Erector is found in the warmth of the morning sun, the laughter of children and the curl of the perfect wave. He is with us always.
Basically, the joke's over... most everyone moved on. Next year VROOM is gonna get into the Hall of Fame for sure!
