I remember seeing scores of unsold Universe Unicrons at Toys R Us before ROTF came out in theaters. I had been waiting and waiting to see if they would be marked down from $49.99.

Then all of the sudden, they were gone. Did TRU mark them down? Did HTS or TRU.com ever sell them on clearance? I just want to find out what I missed out on, if anyone can remember.

 

They were down to $37.50 for a week at one point. It was a sale when all Transformers were 25% off. That was shortly after the realease of the ROTF movie.

 

they still have a couple at my TRU and they are still the same price...

 

Point of advice: If you want something, might as well pay full price for it.

If you happen upon something you weren't willing to pay full price for on clearance, then score.

Don't bother waiting because it'll pass you by.

I got mine online from TRU $39.99. It was an online deal only in the end with shipping i paid $52 well worth it saved over $25.

 

i'll just stick with my black energon Unicron. I wonder if they stuck them in the back stockroom or something?

Maybe they are playing with Atari E.T. Cartridges.

 

I'll check when I go see G.I Joe and go shopping. I think they'll be shelfwarming... as usual.

I'm not sure if there are any left in this area or not, but correct me if I am wrong, Unicron being a Toysrus Exclusive aren't the chances of clearance slim to none?

 

They've been out for like a year...and you missed them?  

All joking aside, I learned that's it's not worth to wait for a sale. You might miss it them end up having to pay double for one on the interwebs. An extra 10 bucks may suck for a unicron, but tell me you haven't thrown 10 bucks down the drain on beer or a lunch at arby's.

 

I'd really like on myself. I didn't have any extra cash when they were in stores and they were all gone by December where I am. Ill probably have to get one online sometime I guess.

 

I picked one up, haven't looked back to see if any, but I don'y know if they still have any.

 

Been awhile since I've done a thorough check of TRU, since they're great for getting the first 1 - 3 waves of any new series and then apparently give up completely, but I'm pretty sure one of my local TRUs still has a couple of Unicrons.

In my experience, TRU never clearances their TF exclusives and they only get discounted if it's part of a broader promotion (ie - all TFs on sale). Both of my local TRUs still have at least a couple of the Blackout/Scorponok two-packs from the early waves of TFTM07 and some of the exclusive Ultras from that film as well.

 

There is one at my TRU and when I was in Virginia last month the TRU there had TONS of unicron leftover.

 

There are a bunch of Unicrons at my TRUs as well as the movie 1 Blackout/Scorponok packs.
