I did a search and did not see a thread, so I wanted to know where do you go for your work outs? Some are crazy expensive, and some are more reasonable. I myself have been a member at ballys total fitness for 5 years. Its a pretty good gym. The prices are good, if you know how not to get sucker by the manager. The equipment has change to new ones, the hours are good. They open at 6am and close at 11pm. Its a great place to get an excellent work out, and meet new people too. I met alot of people there otherwise I would have never known. Its also keeping me healthy at the same time. What gyms do you use? I mean even the community centers now charge close to 20.00 for a month to join. I paying much much less than that myself. Im 25.00 a year for life with no increases ever. So not bad to keep it for life, unless they go out of business.

LOL I guess so...he actually trained w/ Arnold Schwarzenegger for a bit during the 60's before getting away from competitive bodybuilding (when steroids started becoming popular).

Lucky that I live about 10mi. from my grandparents and stop by to work out every day after work.

    That's a great in-home setup. I'd take that over a toy room!

I'm a Bally's member, 7-8 years now or so. Mostly so I can keep up my running in the goddamn tundra here.

I go to a west coast chain called 24 Hour fitness. I like them with reasonable dues. Most of their locations has all the latest gear.

    Home.

After researching the very few available facilities for getting fit, I realized the only affordable alternative for me was to just get a Nintendo Wii and EA Sports Active.

The one at my university is basically free if you have classes. Unfortunately, I'm kind of a lazy ass, but I do most of my working out at home anyways.

I commute by bicycle when the weather is good and have a stationary bike trainer I use when the weather is bad. Definitely can't see paying to go out of my way to go to a gym and have to put up with other people when I can work out at home and/or on the road.

Holy crap! He must be a billionare to own that set up at home. If I had that I would work out at home too. :)
As for the 24hr gyms. I need to check them out. Sounds good to be able to work out anytime. The prices I dont know, so I will check them out.

I use to have 24hr Fitness. After starting P90X, seeing results and loving it I stopped going to the gym and canceled my membership (had it for more than 10 years). I do miss going to the gym to check out the girls though. My friends and I always joke around that the gym we go to is more like a social scene which maybe is good for socializing but certainly a distraction for working out.
