If there is a thread about this My bad but what got you into TF. For me it was my older bro, he is a good collecter and a huge fan. It was he who got me into Transformers doguh we some times disagree about things and fight a lot he is the person who I have to thank for getting me into TF.

I put the tv on one saturday morning back in 1984 (or maybe it was 1985 I don't remember when Sky Channel started broadcasting the transformers here in Europe) and sludge just put his foot down and caused an earthquake that defeated Rumble in the episode "s.o.s Dinobots".
I was instantly hooked! I recorded the last half of the episode on VHS and every other episode I could get my hands on. I already had a few Go-Bots but no Transformers and don't think I heard about prior to seeing that first cartoon. I remeber getting a knockoff Trailbreaker and Jazz but my first real Transformer was Dirge.

My older brother kinda got me interested in them while growing up. He had quite a number of the original G1 toys, and we had 3 episodes of the TV series plus the 1986 movie on VHS that I watched off/on while growing up.

The G1 toys and the G1 Marvel comics. Compelling cast of characters who star in an epic storyline and are represented by marvels in toy engineering? Instant win in my book.

I watched G2 when I was young. My mom bought me Dreadwing/Smokescreen as well as 4 of the combaticons (guess which one she DIDN'T get?) Watched a few BW episodes as well as RiD when it was on. It took the 2007 Movie to fully pull me in.

I had seen a few G1 reruns as a young'n, and I liked it, it was cool like a typical cartoon to your average boy. Then a few years later Beast Wars came on, I did like that show, though it didn't really get me into it. That faded away, then the Unicron series came out and I thought it was stupid for the anime kids and all that. Few years later, Bayverse and I'm hooked!

Can't remember it was so long ago, my earliest memory is watching Thief in the Night during the Easter holidays
