On the basis that Hasbro ever decides to release a new Gestalt (which is thoroughly unlikely), one that has all three modes, robot, vehicle, gestalt, who would you like to see get the treatment?

I seriously doubt we'll see one in the near future, not until 2011 at least, but I'd really like to see a new Defensor. He's one of the classic Gestalts (Dev, Menasor, Bruticus, Superion and Defensor are the classics IMO). There are enough molds out there to re-hash into a gestalt.

Also, I'd love to see any new Gestalt moving away from the main body with limbs attached. It's ironic that Supreme Devastator does exactly this, but he still fails overall. I look at G1 Devastator and think "That'd be amazing if it had good artic and was well....newly made". The way G1 Dev. combines is really damn smart.

So, who do you want to see?

Ruination. Seriously, even if it ended up as another repaint of the Energon Bruticus Maximus mold, I'd buy it. Though if not Ruination, I'd have to say Computron. Would be interesting to see an updated mold of him. Plus, it would give Hasbro a reason to either give Grimlock a new mold, or at least a reasonable chance to release their own version of MP Grimlock.

Pretty much all the Gestalts/Combiners that have yet to have seen a new release, no matter what toy line (ROTF, Encore, Classics, etc.)

I would like to see Menasor or Defensor, but if they end up being Energon repaints, I would rather have then be Movie stlyed.

Menasor is one of the few combiners that actually makes intuitive sense to me. Movie Devastator (the CG, not the toy) makes sense as the biggest, baddest, and most destructive thing around, it's a combination of multiple robots who are primarily builders into a strong fighter. Superion, however, winds up being insanely ENORMOUS if scaled properly, and trades in being five fighter jets in order to be one big target. Bruticus isn't all that much better as a concept.

Menasor, however, winds up being extremely large but not Godzilla-sized, and makes sense as a warrior mode for the Stunticons if they are acting as spies and their cover is blown. Plus, I like Motormaster's rivalry with Optimus, and some of the personalities of the various Stunticons are very amusing. Heck, I would love to see Menasor in the next movie, though of course we won't.

    +1.

Superion's okay, not great but okay. Bruticus is $30 kitbash fodder. And I wouldn't even buy Classics Devastator for parts.

If I had to pick just one that has not been done in a while, I'd choose Menasor, but only if it's new molds. Don't care what line it's for.

Something brand new. Preferably borrowing some tips from Rail Racer's book so we can have a fully poseable combiner with a unique combination and minimal sacrifices on the individual figures.

I'd love to see Defensor, Computron, and Menasor. I'd like to see them done in a similar way as the energon gestalts. Some people really don't like the energon ones, but if you transform them differently from the instructions, and if Hasbro took cues from Fansprojects appendage add on, they would be VERY cool.

The connectors are good, and you can get some really decent articulation out of them if you don't use the intended transformations for the limbs. So new gestalts with the Deluxe main body and scout limbs, with the same connectors along with the new engineering they've been putting into classics/universe/henkei stuff I think would be FREAKIN AWESOME!!
