What games ought to be on Wii?

More specifically, what games out there could really take advantage of the remote if a port or sequel was made for the Wii? I think we might have had a topic like this a year ago or something, but it might be more interesting now that several of us have actually been able to try out (or own) the Wii and it's controller.

    My top choice:
    Panzer Dragoon.
    Ideal controls:
Tilt nunchaku - guide dragon's pitch and heading
    jolt nunchaku - dodge
Nunchaku thumb stick or remote D-pad - POV and camera distance
    Point remote - aim gun

Virtua Cop series, House of the Dead
    Controls should be obvious

    Descent Trilogy
I've never found any ideal control scheme for this game. There are finally two controllers that might be able to make the full range of motion in these games easy to control. One is the Wii remote with nunchaku, and the other is the PS3's SIXAXIS.

    Any other ideas?

Oh hell yes. Wii Sports Boxing is cool, but I think they can do better with a whole game dedicated to it.

I'd like a new Panzer Dragoon, a nice 2D Wii Castlevania game (I HATED the 3D ones) with various 3D elements and Punch Out! I loved the original NES game and hope it gets released on the Virtual Console.

    Rez.

Also, I think the Wii might be the first time a 3D Castlevania could actually work...

Maybe... but I love the "old-school" look of the 2D Castlevania games and wouldn't mind playing the RIGHT game on the Wii.

I loved the Castlevania Sorrow games on GBA and DS (mostly the DS version, Dawn of Sorrows) and I'd love to see either more Soma Cruz with his "soul eating" capability or a true Belmont blood relative. Portrait of Ruin, the latest 2D entry is great but not the best. Maybe some sort of Wii exclusive SotN update?

Maybe it's because they have enough awesome between them for three games. ;)
Yeah, that could be done easily enough. A new Samba de Amigo would be cool.

If I had my dream come true, there is only one game that could truly be done real justice on the Wii and only the Wii.

    NiGHTS into Dreams.

And this one may be happening, the creator stated a few years back that he would do another, but only if it could be done perfectly, and he thought that would take a long time. And more recently, he's stated that the Wii is the perfect console for it.

I hope that wasn't Yuji Naka, 'cause he doesn't work at Sega anymore. :(

Yeah, that would be the trick to this... He was supposed to begin his own development studio and a "flying clown" game was rumored for the Wii from "a recently-independent developer", but that's been silent since April.

Like I said, it's a dream of mine. But there's no franchise with as much potential to use the Wii like NiGHTS.

Keiji Inafune is supposedly working on a secret project for Wii. I'm hoping it's Rockman DASH (Mega Man Legends) part 3. He was previously hoping to do DASH 3 for PSP, but said that was unlikely after poor sales of the other Rockman PSP games. He's also mentioned that Wii would be a good home for Rockman...

Now that would be cool. I loved the Megaman Legends games, I wouldn't mind a third on the Wii in the least.

    A Star Wars lightsaber game.

Then I'd buy a Wii in an instant.

    Yes, anyway.

I'd love to see a Reseident Evil game with a view liek RE4, but a control scheme where you move with the thumb stick, but aim with the Wii-Mote. I just think that'd amazing.

Also, a New Rogue Leader game. Seems obvious.

In all honesty I haven't tried any decent 1 player games on the machine yet, but the minigame stuff works well when you have 4 players flailing around like madmen.

Hopefully if Umbrella Chronicles does well, we might get something like that. Supposedly that's already what it is, but it would be nice to have an all-new scenario.
