I think a few don't understand what disappointment means. You have to expect it to be something and for it to fail on meeting those expectations. If a game flat out sucks but you weren't expecting it to be great to begin with, then that isn't disappointment. Its just a shitty game.

Imagine if COD:MW2 is horrible, a shit load of people will be disappointed as its a sequel to one of the most popular games and their expectations were high. It failed to meet the standards wanted and is such a disappointment.

I do agree with some of the other titles brought up especially Scribblenauts and King of Fighters 12.

I had expectations for Fuel I truly did. when I saw the first bit of gameplay footage I really really wanted to play it. that was diminished when all the reviews started coming in saying that it was meh

Then in that case you have every right to be disappointed, I thought you were just slagging it off due to it being a shite game :)

I haven't played it myself though but it looked very generic so I never got my hopes up. Sometimes maybe thats best :D

    What's wrong with Scribblenauts.
I bought it as a gift for my kid.
It's unopened, should I take it back?

    The game seemed well reviewed.

For I, Scribblenauts is just like the Wii. Its an innovative gimmick that quickly gets tiresome and obviously more engaging things come along to replace it.

Scribblenauts lasted me an hour, then I got bored with it and haven't touched it since. I might just be me though, as some have really enjoyed it and spent countless hours playing it.

And you should. The fact you get a second disc with Halo 3 multiplayer & all its maps is awesome.

I'd have to go with ODST on this as well. I fell into the pitfall of hype surrounding this game, planned and went to the midnight release of the game, and got home and was ultimately....disappointed. Firefight was nice, graphics were nice, but I just found the campaign to be tedious, uncompelling and downright boring. When the end credits rolled, I was like..."That was it?" I watched 'em roll, got back to the title screen and haven't felt the need to turn it on again.
