Well, thanks to some clarification, I can answer this now.

Of course, Fort Max was one, so was Metroplex. Like Ruination04, however, the big one was Hot Rod. One day, I found a loose Hot Rod in decent condition, figure only, some sticker wear, for $7 and $7 shipped. Next thing I knew, I was buying a TRU Reissue Jazz, then Alternators, then my parents thought it would be funny to buy me an Energon Deluxe (Barricade)... Oops. That just opened the floodgates.

 

the Headmaster Characters, they've been something i've wanted for eons. hit the bullet and got me a Brave Max last year (with Darkov casting the Fort Max Parts he didn't come up with) and 20 minutes ago, i just sniped a CHEAP Hardhead  

now, on to get Brainstorm, Highbrow and Chromedome

I was thinking the same thing, did the mods change the title? I was pretty lucky to get most Tfs I wanted, or my brother would get it. We never had Fort Max or Metroplex so I guess those would be cool. Now that I'm older I wish I had Jazz and Wheeljack (brother had Wheeljack but that's long gone)

 

My parents didn't have much money, so I did not get a lot of G1 TF's when they came out. I have a number of them, but compared to what my friends had back then, my collection was pretty pitiful.

I just can't pick one Transformer. There have been a good number that I had wanted but never got. I've managed to get some of them in the last 2 years, but what I always wants and never got was a complete COMBINER set.

I never got but always wanted either:

Menasor

Computron

Predaking

Defensor

Bruticus

Superion

Devastator was "wimpy" compared to the above combiners which looked so much better to me back then. I still would love to have one, but they all seem real pricey for a complete combiner with all the pieces.

 

back in the days I wanted all of them but my parents were poor and they didn't get me any TFs. Now I just get what ever I like. =)

I remember hunting for those toys and could never find them. My dad would always say "Son, I found a white version of that toy? Its not grey" Of course I was furious, being a brat "NO DAD!!! lol, probably not that bad but I remember being upset.

 

I wanted, and almost pulled the trigger for, Fort Max...but my father, never the most practical of folk, convinced me not to get it. Years later I did find Brave Max for a decent price through the Junkion, but still...
Otherwise...not sure.

 

Since I was born in the beginning of the 90's there weren't any retailers that carried G1's when my Transformers intrest took a start, but I got a lot of my brothers old G1's and later started going to flea markets to find these little treasures. The figures I mostly found was the Throttlebots, Seacons and Powermasters but the ones I really wanted to find was the older figures from the cartoon and the early comics, like Shockwave, Trypticon, Mirage etc. Stuff that were nearly impossible to find since they were never released in Sweden, ha! Although I was mighty happy to find any Transformers at all.

I would say mostly Grimlock. I had Slag, and I asked for Grimlock, but never got him. On top of that, I NEVER recall seeing him in stores. I was young, but I just never remember being able to even show my parents Grimlock. (It was a common practice for me to excitedly show my parents what I liked)

 

I always wanted Jazz, Hot Rod, Overlord, Megatron, Starscream (only had the Pretender one), Metroplex, Trypticon and some others. And I always wanted that red Tracks which was seen at the back of the packaging. But I never even saw the blue one in any stores...

A;though I may not have been born in 1984-87, I wish I had a G1 Prime. I'm looking into some Masterpiece ones and maybe even the one Toys R us is selling fr $70 on their website.

 

all of them, as a kid my family was pretty poor and Transformers were a high dollar toy. I had gobots  

christmas and birthdays I got GI joes or Starwars, which I also loved, but the only G1 TF I ever owned was a smokescreen with a broken windshield I got from a friend.


I guess of all of them back in the day though it was Optimus I wanted the most.
