Pretty much what the title says. Which G1 "gimmick" would you like to make a return in a future Classic-verse toyline?

Headmasters. I'd like to see updated Version of Chromedome, Hardhead, Brainstorm and Highbrow with heads that turn into robots.

Chrome I'd like, but die-cast is a no-no. Hasbro when tasked with making something with die-cast often just puts in in the most inappropriate spots and wind up making the toys heavy as all hell. I say use die-cast on things like support struts, and things that might break easily when made of plastic.

Lol, that didn't take long. :)  But I disagree, I like diecast hood sections, chest pieces, and fenders. And I like the heavy feel. But to each their own I guess.

I need to add rubber tires to my wish list.

I don't mind chrome if it's used appropriately, but die-cast annoys me. I only like it when it's used for something like making the toy balance better.

I can't think of any reason why anyone would object to some diecast being used in Transformers. Do you?

    No gimmicks.
I just want good, fun tf's that are good updates of the originals.
If a tf is good, it doesn't need a gimmick.
Besides, do you really want hasbro or takara doing gimmicks now.
Between prime voyager weapons or arms micron naked tf's w/stickers, neither is doing very well.

I just want really solid, fun transformations. I'm tired of these really intricate transformations where I'm worried if I'm gonna break it if i push to hard. I want to have confidence in my figures.

    headmasters, headmasters headmasters

also diaclone inch man drivers and city bots

otherwise I don't want any gimmicks other than the transformation, articulation and weapon storage. the C-clips were also nice.

diecast feet and inner frame for sturdiness would also be nice

Well, I meant more "top heavy". I like it when it's used in a way that doesn't hinder the toy, or make it incapable of standing up. I like die-cast when used in things like feet and legs though, to give better balance.

I can only really see them doing the Head/Power/Target Masters. To me, they have been doing Micromasters already with the Mini-cons. And I dang sure don't want Pretenders or Actionmasters.
We got rubsigns... We got triple changers....I can't think of what else...Maybe Scramble City combiners??

Me too. I've bought a couple TF's recently and they feel a little bit fragile. I have some TFs from 2004 that have no signs of wear, but toys from 2008 that are worn out as all hell. My Universe Starscream I've had to glue pieces back on because his crappy white plastic shatters. He's in my garage with other TFs I need to replace at some point. :(

I came up with a weird idea for Deluxe and Voyager TFs that are all Scramble City combiners, but with an extra gimmick on top, like a Power, Head or Target master. I think a Voyager has a big enough head to turn into a little robot.
