I just want them to get Gears, Trailbreaker, Hoist, and Skids out of the way so we can move past 1986 and beyond. Sure we have some bones here and there, but I want a Generations Vroom!

 

My top 5 that I'd like to see released:

1. Swoop
2. Snarl
3. Slag
4. Sludge
5. Springer

My outside looking in list of stuff that can use a rehash:
6a. Grimlock (a voyager class re-release)
6b. Devastator (with 5 to 6 original bots/limbs this time)

 

Reasonable characters that I think should be made before the toy line is finished :

Autobots :

Gears
Hoist
Skids
Trailbreaker
Recolor / remold for 1986 Minibots

Decepticons :

Blitzwing
Kickback
Shockwave

Yep, that's it. My reasoning is :

1: Characters like Blaster, Hardhead, Huffer, Ratbat, Springer and Ultra Magnus already have a spot. They may be repaints but they still already have a spot, making other characters should be a priority.

2 : There's already a Cybertronian Soundwave, so as above, making other characters should be a priority.

3 : The Dinobot and combiner groups have been represented by a single character for each group so far, so Insecticons should be done the same way.

Just my thoughts about the line.

 

nice one, PikaManiac Unfortunatly I'm inclined to think you got a point even though I'd give my left nut to see hasbro and takara release classics gestalts...you mind giving me a top 5 while you are at it?

 

Springer, Hoist, Shockwave, Roadbuster, Soundwave (cassette compatible).

Though if I could go totally wild, a lot of the 1988 characters, especially since many had 'realistic' alt modes. The three Autobot dual-Targetmasters (Landfill, Quickmix, Scoop) could be made with molds that allow easy Constructicon repaints and paired with a Grapple recolored into Hook. Wedge and "Grimlock" from the RiD Build Team could fill it out and a third party could make the connecting parts (almost guaranteed if Hasbro makes them all).

I would love to see reinterpretations of the members of the combiner teams. I really want Classicsverse Slingshot, Air Raid, Skydive, Fireflight, Brawl, Blast Off, Vortex, and Swindle.

3. Shockwave 3pts
4. Swoop 2pts
5. Snarl, Slag, And Sludge whatever you need to do here.... .33 each

 

To modify your list a bit, you're bemoaning a lack of Laserbeak, but ignoring Buzzsaw (a crime, in my opinion, as Buzzsaw is far more awesome).

Also, I don't see Hook, Line and Sinker ever getting toys, as they weren't even Transformers, just generic robots created by Unicron out of scrap.

 

No one mentioned that Huffer was a Botcon exclusive repaint of that Cybertron Truck guy. Awesome scout figure and fits Huffer perfectly, I can't imagine Hasbro making a better one outside of removing the gimmick.

I don't have a top 5 list because I want to see all the G1 show characters done.

 

How very true, I shall edit the list and then turn myself over to the authorities. Having said that though, you never know, I mean we now have a Straxus figure so you know...never say never

 

I'll add him as an alternative then, seeing as we allready have people wanting to see a classics mold out of him. And personally I really dig the botcon version, but I still have my hopes of a huffer with silver/gray arms and a blue chest piece  

On that note though, don't think of it as limiting yourself, think of it as which ones you'd like to see made first  

 

Trailbreaker. I don't count that little legends one. And an easy Hoist repaint could follow it. It's a 2 for 1, HasTak!

I need me a Scrounge. And then a Marvel Universe version of Circuit Breaker.

hasbro will never, NEVER make a proper ultra magnus.

Right now the most popular bot seems to be Blitzwing, maybe not that strange when we've gotten the 2 other decepticon tripplechangers.

Still competing for the first spot is Shockwave, no real surprise there.

And closing the gap for the top 3 is surprisingly enough Trailbreaker who didn't get that much love in the cartoonI guess the comics had an impact on people...keep 'em comming folks.

Trailbreaker..Let's get the Ark crew finished. (plus easy remould into hoist)
Shockwave..no reason needed.

And because I love triple changers.

Blitzwing..wasn't he the first triple changer?(he may have been introduced the same time as Astrotrain, I can't recall)
Springer (I think you can remould a good Sandstorm from him due to the same alt modes)
A heavily inspired G1 Arcee, sure she is rumoured but we haven;t seen her yet.

Interesting list, dkreed7 - I know the headsculpt on United megs is a bit off and have been wanting a new head on that sculpt for ages now...but now that you mention it, yeah a real gun mode would have been nice...if only the US didn't have such strict laws.

Anyway, both of your lists have been added - and made Shockwave get even closer to Blitzwing.

2.Trailbreaker(with hoist repaint-grapple needs his buddy!)
3. A better ultra magnus(wishful thinking-city commander is just too expensive for me)
4. A triple changer springer(with possible sandstorm retool)
5. Shockwave(because)
