The vast majority of my collection is C/H/U/G, with a couple of exceptions - G1 Jetfire, ROTF Bludgeon, and Faith Leader, all of which I think "work" with the rest of the group.

I've been reading one of the photocomics on here and am enamored with Alternators Shockwave . . . but I'm guessing that the scale would be kind of screwy. That's not a huge deal because I'll probably keep him in 'bot mode. I'm also kind of interested in Cybertron Metroplex . . . but I'm not sure if those will coordinate well with what I've got thus far.

In your opinion which figures go well with one another across different toy lines? Do you use movie figs like Gears and Brawn to stand-in for their G1 counterparts, or no?

    - energon shockblast, same size as megs.
    - hftd terradive with generations trident duo to make it into a trio.
    - MP grimlock robot mode. now he feels like he belongs in there.

scout classes feel awkward in my collection. i tried that with PCC huffer and it just doesn't work. i got RTS windcharger, he feels awkward too. on another board someone mentionned this.

if tak/bro would make the minibots scout class, it would be perfect. i'd like a scout class BB and cj as well.

i also added cybertron metroplex just to balance things out but he feels awkward too. universe 2.0 powerglide needs to get out of there soon as well.

my classics in its entirety minus prime since he's in my prime collection.

I've got both Brawn's, legends and the movie deluxe. I think the Movie Deluxe is a nice improvement over his old form, and the face is close enough that I think it's a good homage. Besides, for being the second strongest autobot, he needed a beefier frame. I also have the ROTF Swerve mixed in with my C/H/U/G. It's not perfect but I find it better than most of the other movie figures.

That Powerglide will be somewhere between Legends and Scout in size. I very much doubt he'll fit well with the rest of the classics.

Because a few Cybertron redecos got mixed in with Universe, I decided there would be no harm in adding one or two of my favs.

Also, the day RiD Prowl isn't on the shelf is the day that NO toys are on my shelf :)

Interesting, you think his colors go along okay? The clear colored plastic just seems off . . . although now that I think about it Thunderwing and Galvatron both use it.

Oh, I've got the movie Hoist in my collection, too. His vehicle mode is almost spot on for a remake of G1 Hoist, and the robot mode isn't TOO Bayesque. I might add the Mixmaster in, too, because he came with Hoist, but if so, he'll stay in vehicle mode forever. (Assuming I can ever get him INTO vehicle mode.)

There's a lot of Energon figures that fit in well enough. Shockblast of course, but also Slugslinger, the Wheeljack look-a-like.. um.. there's others, but I can't remember them. Oh yeah, Omega Supreme and Sentinal.

I used Armada Unciron and Cybertron Metroplex with my chug toys. I also mixed in my RiD toys. RiD Prowl became my Red Alert, Megatron became Gigatron, Optimus Prime became my Sentinel Prime, and Ultra Magnus became Power Convoy...

I've always thought my Titanium Rodimus Prime is a better alternative for Protector.

For me the only ones that work for me are the energon combiners with the FP upgrades, and the Energon repaint of Roadbuster with the Nanobot upgrade as well as other third party stuff. Love the PE stuff, Frenzy and Rumble finally landed in my POL today.

Did you change out the arm? The pics I can find all have some weird looking gun arm instead of the standard "Shockwave" arm.

    ^ yes.

just google custom classics shockwave you'll have tons that will pop up. not a lot with a gun mode though.

or just hang around the custom forum you'll find tons of bots that go well with classics.

I have no idea what that toy is/was before it was customized, or how much customizing was done. But the gun on him is a few lego bricks.

I got Cybertron Armorhide as Pipes. Was using Energon Rodimus as a fill in until I received my Classics "Hot Rod."
