What exactly is the range of Grimlock's firebreath?

Just curious, because it seems like that, not only does he have infinite amount of "gas" to power his flame breath, but it can shoot far enough to burn jets?

Sure, why not? It's G1. If they can turn parts of a blown-up Optimus Prime into a crocodile then Grimlock can burn Cyclonus's ass from a mile away.

I don't think there is an exact range. It seems the range is appropiate for the situation at hand. Maybe his fire breath is a combustion of energon of some other fan fiction style thing. *shrug*

Stop trying to find logic in G1. It'll make your life easier.

Also remember what when you're comparing objects of that size (and its G1, so the size is going to be completely inconsistent anyway), his flame breath can go farther than it immediately appears, just because of scaling.

Spock has no use for G1 as it is completely illogical. I suppose Grimlocks range depends on how much chilly he had for lunch.

Over the years I've also gotten the impression that it's not just simply fire, but some kind of "laser/fire" so it's range wouldn't be limited to that of flame thrower, but of a laser blaster.

I figure he can adjust the range / spread as needed by the situation. Or, as stated, it's actually an advanced weapon that simply looks like a flamethrower but hundreds of times more effective.

Find Pi, times it by 1000000 then find the square route. Cube the answer then convert the answer to 3 significant figures. That is your answer :)

Maybe its like cyclops from x-men how he controls and adjusts the range of his blast(in grimlock's case fire) but finding logic in G1 is illogical.

well, I only wondered because it seems like Grimlock's flamethrower is one of the longest ranged flamethrower in the galaxy.
