I don't get why people are upset about determining which dinobot is what dino. Its not like there is an argument or someone being all "Omg bay ruined dinobots", just a dude having deducing things with dinosaur determination.
Well, the creators clearly had good, old fashioned "Stegosaurus" in mind when they designed this guy, and given how stylized the dinobots are, trying to pin down a single base species seems pretty academic. Still amusing at times, though. On a side note, as someone who hasn't been super into dinosaurs in a while, and someone who loved The Far Side as a kid, let me just say that I'm delighted that "Thagomizer" has become a nearly-accepted scientific term.
Whoever compared him to an Ankylosaurus...must've not seen a pic of one before. Stego. With sharp, non-lettuce grinder teeth.
/thread Too much pondering about what these robot dinos should be in real life is too much. NONE of them are like real dinosaurs. They are mimics at best. Or considering they are in China, maybe "knock offs" is the better description...
