I've been making these a lot lately, what else is tasty in them to go along with the cheese, besides ham?

I don't like cheese but you can't go wrong with bacon in a sandwich. Or mushrooms.

    Multiple types of cheeses.

I love Grilled cheese. I am so happy 5-guys makes them. I would eat 5-guys grilled cheese every day if it didn;t cause me to die of a heart attack.

    Mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, onions.

I also put a cooked hamburger on them sometimes. :)

Doesn't it make it a patty melt instead of a grilled cheese?

    MMM....grilled cheese.

If you have leftover steak or roast beef it's is pretty good.

The question is though, What tyope of cheese?

    I like chedder or processed.

    Swiss does sound good though...

There is a complete lack of Smang in this thread...Where you at sammich brotha?

I think Skor is completely on par with some chorizo, excellent choice my friend! Though I think some pepper jack with chorizo would be sublime.

Going with cheddar or american cheese, and if you do not have chorizo I would have to agree that bacon and tomato would be good. I also love onion.

Gotta second Blitzfire, I add tobasco to mine. I also normally use multiple cheeses (pepperjack, sharp cheddar or farmer's cheese/monterey jack)

i'd have to go with bacon as the obvious myself. you could always do bacon, shredded cheese, and an egg all mixed up in a little sandwich sized omelet then grill that in the middle of a sandwich. that would be good.

I've done a grilled Reuben omelette sandwich before.

    It was heaven.
