And if it's a tank be specific about the tank.
A Leopard. Megatron should be an M1.
An Abrams Tank like Brawl, just a purplish color.
Or some Cybertronian military vehicle, I guess.
Some kind of mobile railgun.
Which he basically already is. Hence the specification of Earth military vehicle.
this. that would work as his arm gun IMO
To fit with his whole "Cold War" thing [with him being seen in Chernobyl and all], let's make him turn into this:
Soviet Tank T-64. If I am not mistaken, this Tank was exclusive of the Soviet Union.
I for some reason love the idea of Shockwave being "russian".
One of those energy tanks from the "Godzilla" movies
I've always thought an Apache helicopter might be a great idea. Just orient the cockpit horizontally and it would work really well as his window-chest.
One of those Maser tanks from the Mothra and Godzilla movies Sci-Fi Revoltech Type 66 Maser Cannon | HobbyLink Japan
AHahaha beat me to it
That seems about right. I don't know who has one, but a self-propelled rocket launcher like the one below would be a good general configuration. Replace the launcher with some sort of energy weapon and you have it.
Hailstorm already took that.
If it was antique, I'd love to see him as a Vietnam War Huey. Pops up, humans are like "haha, that's not a threat", and then he blasts them with an awesome alien laser. Like, Romulan drilling laser caliber.
If it was modern, I agree with Wheeljack. An attack helicopter seems really fitting for Shockwave's slow but unpredictable approach.
I don't think he should be a gun platform. That's immobile. Shockwave's not the kind of bot that likes his handles gripped by others.
I would have him turn into one of those Maser cannons from Godzilla.
Nice to see some good-hearted Godzilla fans here.
You know, Skyhammer is a dead ringer for Shockwave in my mind's eye. Look at the chest design. It's hexagonal!
I'd make Shockwave a sports car like the Alternators version.
