If I open up the box but never take out the toy for display does that mean it still mean MIB ?

I think it means 'mint in sealed box.' From that I would guess that the box would have never been opened.

I will be selling a jetwing optimus prime but the buyer insist to buy in MISB.

I had open up the box before but I never remove the secure pin that secure the optimus prime.

I think that doesn't make much different right ?

    Ebay:
makes a huge difference to MISB collectors, the toy is now no longer MISB, it's MIB instead, that one piece of tape makes or breaks a figure for them

If the tape is cut and the box is open it is not MISB. It's MIB. Even if you never took it out, it is no longer sealed.

If the buyer is going to be that picky about it, chances are they're not going to buy it. But don't worry (because if I were you, I wouldn't). I'm sure there's many other people that would LOVE to get that Prime off of you.

Yeah you shouldn't have an issue selling it, but you won't be able to get full retail price for it.

Also mention that as the original owner it had not been removed from that point. The buyer should be satisfied with that information.

Yeah, MISB means you didn't cut the tape.

Trust me, I cut the tape on one figure looked at it, and was like, well, I shouldn't have done that, I may not keep him. But it went from MISB to MIB real quick.

A lot of us just want to be the first to touch the figure. As long as you didn't take it out and mess with the twist ties theres plenty of people who will still buy it.

Why would you open the box if you weren't going to take the figure out?

Sorry, I wasn't going to ask, but it has now become a Burning Question in my mind and it must be answered.

it means sealed in the box.

but in ebay terms it normally means, shoved back in the box, broken in 5 pieces, and retaped up with random scotch tape. :lol
