It also bares to mention that there is a disconnect between Cracker and the other two coneheads and the three we have seen in The Classics story "Crossing Over." That actually will be a HUGE part of a certain somethin' somethin' coming this July!

Wow Valk, I think "Lazy" is an opinion here, is it not? The decision was made to go straight homage AND again, the "team" is not what is used to be.....

    In-fiction explanation? Cool!

Thundercracker looks absolutely fantastic! (As expected)

I really don't mind these Botcon seekers being colored more "classical" (pun intended) than the retail ones. I think all six (or seven) seekers would look fantastic together despite some of them having updated decos.

Who said I won't be getting it? I happen to have a birthday in July and a girlfriend who knows I want these, so not only will I get them, I won't even be paying for them. So there! :lol

They STILL don't get faction symbols on their wings? Weird.

Are bagged exclusive sets sold out yet? If not, I'm going to the con.

Yes, "lazy" is an opinion, and that opinion was made and posted before you said that there was a reason for the look and that it would be explained through the fiction.

I'll take the lazy comment back, but it still bugs me that they're just the original decos on new figures.

Beautiful. I'm glad I got a Primus package, now I'll have to chase Classics Starscream, Skywarp and Ramjet since I don't have them yet. They'll look awesome in my desktop :D

I'm just pissed that little old me won't be able to get them.......TC, Dirge, & Thrust should have been mass retail figures. They could have done something more unique for Botcon.....Oh well, I know it's been said 100 times already....but I hate it. I said it again.

And Thundercracker has the black plastic/painted silver face Skywarp has...yet Classic Screamer has that ugly white plastic, painted black head... >_<
Anybody know if its possible to match-up the Seekers better by swapping an extra Skywarp head with Starscream's? Without painting.

It's all gravy :thumb  But seriously, it is all about a matter of preference.

You know what actually. Everyone is Seekers Seekers Seekers.....just WAIT till you see Dreadwind and Bugbite. Those two will make the set....okay, maybe Thrust will do that :D

    are these really prototype toys?

these look to be fan painted as examples for the factory. That paint is really glossy and the rubsign seems to be lifted off, and replaced.

It is a sample, but no, it is molded plastic. Shiny, huh? :D

Just picking you to quote because of your exact wording, nothing else intended.

I didn't get into the thread before Pete had already posted about that, but I had it figured with the complaints about these seekers having older decos as opposed to the retail ones with their newer decos.

The whos and whys are easily pieced together from the strip from the last TFCC newsletter and the character bios in there as well.

I'm just hoping the who behind the in-fiction reason doesn't end up with a physical Classics-based representation, because the only mold that I could think of modifying from Classics would look terrible for that character.

:poke  So show 'em already! :p

(FWIW, though, I'm most excited about Dreadwind, anyway!)

    Intriguing.

Just to be clear: are you talking about issue 14 of the TFCC Newsletter? I may have to check that again.

I'm with Valkysas on this one. The straight G1 homages are really boring compared to the cool patterns we're seeing on the mass release Seekers. I loved the new designs on Ramjet, Skywarp, and Starscream. These are really bland in comparison. If Thrust is going to be as dull as Dirge and Thundercracker I'm fine with not getting them (I don't really give a rat's ass one way or the other about the other two, the Seekers are all I cared about in this set).
