My kitchen table doubles as my desk/work station since I turned my office into my daughter's nursery, but there is enough room for my laptop and my monitor.

So, while I paint/sand/file/mask, I usually watch things I've seen hundreds of times before as kind of background noise. For me, my favorites are:

    Family Guy
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex/The Series
    X-men (the old cartoon)
    Naruto Shippuuden
    Bleach
    The Animated Avenger Movies
    Law & Order:SVU

I was just curious, what do you guys bash too?

Something about music calming the savage beast?...:D

I don't listen to anything, I find I work best with silence.
If I do listen to anything I put on the world's best radio station 97.7HTZ FM.

I keep a large mixture on my Ipod, and plug that into the ipod home station. mainly Korn, Pantera, Mozart,Chopin, Bee Gees, Journey, Boston, 3 6 mafia, kanye West, Lords of Acid, Stan Bush, etc. (and maybe a beer or two) Can't watch TV and bash, to distracting.

Like Plowking, I have thrown a few pieces across the room.

I listen to music, usually something on the darker side - go figure :ev:
Depends what I'm doing but usually I can't start until the first Black Sabbath album starts.
    My next choice is:
    Tomahawk-Anonymous
    Any Strapping Young Lad
    And Obituary-Cause of Death

    depends what the custom is.

may sound corny, but the best inspirational type music to have in the background would be soundtracks like TFTM, LOTR, or any danny elfman stuff (he's the composer for most Burton film soundtracks)

if not those, commonly, I hear my daughter's spongebob squarepants, hannah montana, or drake and josh episodes :O

depends, sometimes I put in a movie, or watch what's on TV, or listen to a ballgame, or my internet radio station.

You guys will think I am funny but I am a huge Classical guy. I love Chopin(love all of his sonatas) but mostly Beethoven(Listen to ode to joy, Symphony No. 9 in D Minor) they will change the way you work. LOL Helps with focus and keeps me relaxed, cant listen to any of the garbage rock(Take no offense those who like it) I hear on the radio all the time. I recommend just listening to them at least once, most are not sorry.

I don't think its funny at all. I LOVE orchestral stuffs. whether its classic symphonies or movie scores, or new symphonies (I love the Trans-Siberian Ochestra).

It's been ages since I've done any work, but usually whatever series I was working through. Babylon 5, West Wing, Studio 60, Patlabor, random DBZ movies... stuff.

Yay! Movies soundtracks always tend to have great stuff. I recently picked up the game Metal Gear Solid 4 (Practically a movie LOL) and the soundtrack is awesome as well.

Don't be I am a huge anime fan, I just can't put any on while I work cause I get distracted. Any other time bring on the anime!

NAY you are not, born and raised on anime since I was born. Been avid hardcore since 95'. Mostly into the old stuff like Boah, MD Geist and Fist of the North Star, the ultra Voilent stuff. And Dominion Tank Police.

But back on subject I will listen to the TFTM Orchestral soundtrack it close to home being I played violin for 7 years during the school years. If not that it is more than likely Daft punk, Goldfrapp, Coldplay, Killswitch Engage, or misc Anime soundtrack.

As for tv I only watch three shows at the moment: TF:Animated, Shin Chan, and my Fav "Big Bang Theory".

I like some classical, mainly darrker stuff though, like Jack Nietzche. Anime kinda inssires my color palette at times, but it really is more background noise than anything. (I barely look at the screen)
