I'm surprised no one came up with a post like this. The Hummer-mode hasn't been seen alot on sets. This let people to speculate that he dies. I don't know what to say, maybe he dies, maybe he stays more in robot mode. If he does die I think it will be somewhere in the first half of the movie. I hope he won't.

He's at Autobot HQ monitoring operations, letting the young Chevybots do all the hard work.

 

The picture here with Sideswipe seems to suggest he'll be in Egypt/Jordan.

 

With all the new bots in RotF, certain characters were almost certainly going to be dramatically cut back on screen time. Ratchet didn't get a whole lot in the first movie, so it kind of makes sense he would see even less in the sequel.

Although... his track record for surviving movies has been 50:50 so far....

Yeah, I wonder now if Ironhide dies; Ratchet, Bumblebee, Sideswipe and the Twins show up in Egypt with the humans to confront the Decepticons before Optimus and Jetfire fly in. Nice to see the Autobot roster revolves throughout the film.

 

Im am not sold that ratchet will die, The image of him with sideswipe and jolt in the desert, at the end of the video he is seen rolling up, he was at one of the air force bases...There have not been many sightings of ratchet but honestly I think he is working with the gov. on something,or maybe he is with Arcee somewhere cuz we have seen less of arcee then we have ratchet. Maybe ratchet is just doing what ratchet does, experimenting in a lab! but an occasional wander to fight off some bad guys.

If we decide on who wil die by number of sightings then Arcee will be on the KIA list!

However a reason they might have ratchet die would be to work wheeljack into the third film, scientist replaces scientist, I could see this being motivation to kill him off

 

"Dammit Prime, I'm a doctor not a scientist!" Does anyone where the separation between science and medicine lies for robots by the way? I always saw Ratchet as keeping a leash on crazy Wheeljack.

 

I figured he'd be back at the Autobot Medical Quarters treating the wounded

He spends half the movie fixing Primes dentures.. er.. sorry, I meant to say faceplate.

I'd say this. He's a medic, so he's probably a stay at home bot, running the repairs area and tending to patients (Arcee?).

 

If you dont mind me asking, why?
