    No. Or at least not in the game. I'm not sure about the movies, though.

    The very nature of Transformers is that they transform. It makes sense that their appearances change and evolve over time. The simplest possible thing Sideswipe could have done was scan a Stingray convertible between movies.

    They evolve in each movie to a more badass upgraded car. Shows them maturing and becoming stronger.. Wasnt this stated before?

    I think that vehicle mode parts are to transformers are what clothes are to us. therefore, sideswipe could easily change his vehicle mode to no roof if he wanted to.

    Back on subject: I think that the Cybertronians can upgrade their vehicle mode as they wish without having to re-scan it completely. For a completely new design (such as the Twins), they'd have to scan the vehicle, but for something like adding a spoiler and moving stripes (Bumblebee) or getting rid of the roof (Sideswipe), I'd imagine it wouldn't be difficult at all to just DO it.

    Considering who directed this movie, and that there are a bunch of legal BS Michael Bay could have hidden behind, I am surprised we didn't see any sexualizing of any of the Transformers. If Cameron could have gotten away with the tit shots in Titanic, The Abyss and throughout all of Avatar, Bay could have gotten something in Transformers.

    But thank goodness he didn't, the balls were bad enough!
